The OGBR Top 64 featured over 300 standouts, playing in front of D2, D3 and NAIA head coaches, while many more D1 coaches watched via live stream. This week – we look at many of the day’s top performers – some who you most likely already know and others who made a name for themselves on Sunday.
Winter Richburg – 5’7 Guard – Rogers – Class of 2021
Seems to be at her best as a high-scoring off-guard. Winter is money from 3-point land when her feet are set. She communicates like a leader should and leads her team defensively not only with her voice, but with her instincts. She plays with a pep in her step and a lot of energy – making her fun to watch and play with.
Laney Murphy – 5’8 Guard – Waynedale – Class of 2021
Murphy is a dead-eye 3-point shooter with a quick release and range that extends well beyond the line. She is good at a stand-still, but also can create her own jumper going to both sides. Laney is not only a 3-point marksman, she is also effective at using a quick first step to get to the rim and finish. She competes on D all over the perimeter.
Peyton Nation – 5’10 Wing – Springboro – Class of 2021
Nation has stood out at a number of OGBR events over the years and the Top 64 on Sunday was no different. Peyton plays all over the floor – getting buckets at the 3 different levels. She is a very physical players who uses her body well, especially around the rim cutting out space.
Faith Stinson Faith Stinson 6'1" | C Sheridan | 2022 State OH – 6’1 Forward – Sheridan – Class of 2021
Stinson is a picture-perfect example of a stretch forward. She can score on the block with both hands, but also steps out and shoots the 3 at a great clip. Faith has the frame to add good weight at the next level, where her all-around game should continue to blossom.
Jalyn Marshall – 5’7 Guard – Shelby County – Class of 2021
Marshall plays much longer than her 5’7 listed height. She is a solid scorer from the perimeter – who can do it with the ball in her hands or moving around off of the ball. Jalyn has long arms and uses them on the defensive ends of the floor – creating turnovers that lead to many transition buckets for her team.
