Sa’yere Banks, 5’9″, PF, St. Michael the Archangel (MO), 2022 — Banks usually played behind in the post but had the quickness to shoot entry passes for a knock-down or steal. She did show quickness and strength to deny over the top. While she has good transition speed and hustle she needs to pick up opposing posts to defend quicker. Assertive offensively, she showed three point range and will look to attack off the bounce.
Caroline Cool, 5’6″, CG, Blue Valley North, 2022 — Cool often could be found defending opposing point guards. With solid athleticism, speed, and handles she also moved well without the ball. Showed three point range off the catch.
T’Yonne Duncan T’Yonne Duncan 6'1" | C Olathe South | 2021 State KS , 6’1″, C, Olathe West, 2021 — Duncan showed improved chopping on her close out and lateral, half court quickness. Making use of her size, off the rebound she can quickly outlet and showed the ability to hit a teammate on the fly for a layup with a 3/4-court pass.
Ella Hurtig Ella Hurtig 5'10" | SF Washburn Rural | 2022 State KS , 5’9″, SG, Washburn Rural, 2022 — Hurtig is active and plays hard on both ends. With long arms and an average build she makes good use of her length defensively and to extend on her three point shot.
Avery Larson, 5’6″, CG, Manhattan, 2023 — Larson unfortunately drew some difficult match-ups and was not the only one who could not stay with Piper’s Evelyn Vazquez Evelyn Vazquez 5'5" | PG Kansas City Piper | 2021 State KS . She offensive rebounded well and looked to run the break with speed.
Abigail Long Abigail Long 5'8" | CG Shawnee Mission East | 2024 State KS , 5’8″, SG, Shawnee Mission East, 2024 — A bit slight of build, Long plays hard and transitions both ways well. She has the ability to stop on a dime, hitting a transition three while doing so. Creative offensively and with good length she was able to turn a short corner catch into mid-lane, half-hook over two defenders to score.
McKayla Miller McKayla Miller 6'1" | CG Cimarron | 2023 State KS , 6’0″, CG/SF, Cimarron, 2023 — Miller earned a spot on the All-Kansas Top 250 Expo team. After a bit of a sluggish start Miller blew by perimeter defenders to get to the basket, was physical rebounding, and used speed and athleticism to go at one of biggest, longest power forwards at the camp to score over the rim on an end-to-end play.
Sydney Reddin Sydney Reddin 5'9" | CG Holt | 2022 State MO , 5’9″, PF/SF, Holt (MO), 2022 — Reddin showed good diversity in her game. With a solid build and good strength she elevated well, and transitioned with speed. In the half court she showed handles to attack the basket with speed.
Jordyn Rowe Jordyn Rowe 5'1" | CG Sumner Academy | 2021 State KS , 5’2″, PG, Sumner Academy, 2021 — Rowe did a lot of good things but what stood out was her smarts. She boxed or kept in contact with perimeter players on the shot and helped from a pass away as well as from the weak side on cutters and drivers.
Talayah Thomas Talayah Thomas 5'6" | CG Topeka | 2022 State KS , 5’7″, CG, Topeka, 2022 — Whether playing the point or on the wing, what stood out about Thomas was how in control she played. A transition instance saw her stop and then pivot to go up. She also showed her strength by ripping the ball away from who she was guarding one-on-one in the half court.
