PGH Ohio Rankings – Class of 2022 – Newcomers

As we dive into the pre-season update of the PGH Ohio state player rankings – here are some of the new “watch list” kids in the Class of 2022. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="212895" first="Grace" last="Schill"] - 5’9 Forward - Hoban</strong> Schill is a 2022 who certainly caught the eye of anyone who watched her play through the summer and fall months. She is a physical wing who plays with an aggressive confidence on both ends of the floor. She does so many of the little things right - defending, screening, rebounding - making her a player that everyone enjoys playing with. Grace has begun to develop a more consistent perimeter jumper that makes her even tougher to defend when she has the ball. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="212891" first="Regan" last="Simpson"] - 5’9 Guard - Wadsworth</strong> Simpson had an outstanding off-season. She used to be a true "tweener", between the guard and post positions - but has added a skill-set and improved athleticism that makes her a legitimate perimeter option. Simpson has a frame that allows her to finish through contact and a motor that rewards her with routine offensive rebounds and easy buckets in transition. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="212892" first="Lexi" last="Wenger"] - 5’8 Forward - Northmor</strong> Wenger is a forward who does a lot of damage around the rim. She is solid with 1 to 2 dribble moves in the half court - while also getting her team extra possessions on the offensive glass. She can finish with both hands at the bucket and also blocks a number of shots on the defensive end of the floor. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="212893" first="Meredith" last="Randulic"] - 5’9 Guard - Perry</strong> Randulic is one of the best passers in the Class of 2022. She plays with the ball on the string, making beautiful plays as a scorer and creator throughout the course of a game. Meredith is a good shooter from all 3 levels and has the athleticism to attack the rim and finish. She is good in the pick and roll. It will be interesting to see if she can lead Perry back into relevance in the Federal League. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="212894" first="Shalen" last="Guilliams"] - 5’9 Guard - Loudonville</strong> Guilliams is the dead-eye shooter at the off-guard position that every coach loves to have. She has range well beyond the 3-point line and a quick release to match it. Shalen is also capable of playing with the ball in her hands - scoring off of the dribble in a number of ways, including step throughs, up-and-unders, pull-ups and euro-steps. An underrated passer - Shalen makes her teammates better.
