Top 250 Expo: 2021 Pee Dee Players

The Pee Dee part of the Palmetto State had plenty of players playing this weekend down on the Grand Strand. Lets take a look at some of the 2021 Palmetto State who took part in the Prep Girls Hoops Top 250 Expo this past weekend in Myrtle Beach. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="171741" first="Kimmie" last="Barnes"] - Marion HS (pictured on the front)</strong> Barnes helped the Lady Swamp Foxes to the Class 3A State Championship Game last season. Barnes a athletic forward runs the floor well but needs to finish better through contact. Barnes stays very active away from the ball and fills the lane very nicely in transition. Barnes has good length and plays every minute to the fullest while on the floor. <img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-212778" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2020/10/Chase-Hayes-74-2-e1602613272793-262x300.jpg" alt="" width="262" height="300" /> <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="171743" first="Chase" last="Hayes"] - Trinity Collegiate (Darlington) (pictured on the front)</strong> Hayes looks to be maybe making a move more to outside on the perimeter this coming season. Hayes is back at Trinity Collegiate after playing last season at Wilson HS. Hayes rebounds the ball well around the paint and isn’t afraid to body up a player down low. Hayes drove  to the basket a few times and played more away from the basket than I had seen in the past. The Lady Swamp Foxes finished the season at (29-2) after losing to a very strong Keenan HS Raiders team in the Class 3A State Championship Game. Lester is a strong guard who at times can bully her way past defenders. Lester really anticipates well in the passing lanes to pickup some steals. Lester and Barnes are the senior leaders for the Lady Swamp Foxes who this season will drop down to Class 2A. <img class="alignnone size-medium wp-image-212777" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2020/10/Ceyda-Yucel-86-2-e1602613238737-230x300.jpg" alt="" width="230" height="300" /> <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="197357" first="Ceyda" last="Yucel"] - Trinity Collegiate (Darlington) </strong> Yucel played last season at Middleburg Academy (VA) before coming down to the Palmetto State.  Yucel really likes to go to work in the paint and plays the game with a lot of contact. Yucel a post player is a really good passer out of the high post. Yucel is a great teammate and always seems to be vocal on the floor. Cohen picks up a lot of steals on the defensive end that turn into transition points going the other way. Dickson at times seems to be most comfortable playing off the ball. Dickson was able to knockdown some open looks here today with her play. Dickson has a quick shot release when she receives the ball. &nbsp; &nbsp;
