Prep Girls Hoops Circuit season got out to an emphatic start this past weekend as three events took place across the country.

In addition to the Northeast Kickoff in New York and the Great Lakes Kickoff in Chicago, the Southeast Kickoff emanated from the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in western North Carolina.

In addition to home state talents, a number of names that were on hand in Hickory are likely familiar to those who closely follow the high school girls basketball scene in South Carolina. Without further ado, here are a few of those noteworthy names from the Palmetto State that brought their balling shoes with them during the first Circuit weekend of 2026.

Even though Pojani will play the bulk of her travel schedule with FBC Reign 2028 on the Under Armour circuit, she was a guest player with [program_tooltip program_id='988463' first='Mosch' last='Ball'] 17U where she played up in class. She helped [program_tooltip program_id='988463' first='Mosch' last='Ball'] 17U to a 4-1 record – only undefeated Carolina All-Stars 17U P32 fared better this past weekend. One of the premier prospects from the Palmetto State, Pojani is roughly a month removed from leading her First Baptist assembling to a SCISA 4A state championship. This coming weekend will see Pojani wear FBC Reign 2028 threads at another Prep Girls Hoops Circuit event – The Shootout in Nashville.

Boatwright is more of a regular with [program_tooltip program_id='988463' first='Mosch' last='Ball'] 17U and is also playing up in class. She is another who played a massive part in what was a successful weekend for [program_tooltip program_id='988463' first='Mosch' last='Ball'] 17U as evidenced by its 4-1 record. This past weekend's Southeast Kickoff is the lone Prep Girls Hoops Circuit event [program_tooltip program_id='988463' first='Mosch' last='Ball'] 17U is scheduled for – Boatwright and her team will return to action in mid-April at Insider Exposure's War Games in North Carolina. She is coming off a 2025-26 season with 5A Division 1 Ashley Ridge that saw the Swamp Foxes advance to the Lower State semifinals. Boatwright averaged 9.7 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.4 steals per contest.

Reynolds is another noteworthy 2028 who is playing up in class on [program_tooltip program_id='988463' first='Mosch' last='Ball']'s 17U team and contributed to what was an auspicious start to her AAU team's 2026 schedule. She also was a key catalyst in Wando's run to the 2025-26 5A Division 1 Lower State championship as well as the 19 points she scored in the state game against Blythewood. Reynolds would play in 26 games of the Warriors' 29 games this past season while averaging 12.7 points, 5.2 rebounds and three steals per contest. Reynolds also claimed All-Region honors for her sophomore campaign in a Wando uniform.

Events such as the Southeast Kickoff give onlookers a chance to see today's prospects as well as those of tomorrow. Allen-Smalls is one of those prospects of tomorrow and is poised to over a lift to SCISA 4A Pinewood Prep. [program_tooltip program_id='988463' first='Mosch' last='Ball'] 12U may have finished 1-2 over the weekend in Hickory, but one of those defeats was to Carolina All-Stars 12U where Allen-Smalls' team only suffered defeat by three points. Allen-Smalls was announced as part of this year's [program_tooltip program_id='988463' first='Mosch' last='Ball'] 12U team back during the holidays and, if this weekend was any indication, will be a massive boost to her team's efforts on both ends of the floor.

House is a multi-sport athlete who is excelling as a cross country runner in addition to her rising list of basketball achievements. She is another that has worn the Pinewood Prep uniform. House has placed plenty of emphasis on free throw shooting as well as the ability to shift directions and work around screens when she has the ball in her hands. Defense is another one of House's strong points. She may be listed as a junior varsity athlete but she has varsity-level talent and a varsity-level work ethic. House has displayed this calendar year – and this past weekend in Hickory – that she is just getting started.

The Swamp Foxes of 5A Ashley Ridge are well-represented throughout the [program_tooltip program_id='988463' first='Mosch' last='Ball'] organization. She is one of two from the Swamp Foxes on [program_tooltip program_id='988463' first='Mosch' last='Ball'] 17U and one of two 2029s that are playing up in class against more experienced competition. At 5-foot-11, one can expect West to be a featured big in the coming years. West is a multi-sport athlete who also plays volleyball in addition to her basketball achievements. Opposing teams especially have to game plan for West as a defender as she is very likely to reject many a shot. A team can place West in their five-woman lineup either as a traditional big or at the four. Rebounding is another one of West's strong points.

Adams has established herself as one of the premier eighth graders throughout the Palmetto State and the rising standout from 4A Lancaster continued her stellar play in a Charlotte Dream Elite 14U uniform. Her team not only played up in class this past weekend at the Southeast Kickoff, it was the only team in the 15U division to finish undefeated. Adams has more experience than the typical eighth grader and it shows in her all-around talent. She played in 24 games this past season with the Bruins while averaging 12.5 points, 2.8 rebounds, 2.3 assists and two steals per contest.

Aficionados of Catawba Ridge have to be excited for what Murphy can do to revitalize that program over the next several seasons as the Copperheads return to the 4A ranks. Murphy was another reason why Charlotte Dream Elite 14U concluded Southeast Kickoff weekend as the lone unbeaten assembling in the 15U division. She can find time on the court either as a small forward or as a two guard. A high point for Murphy's weekend occurred on Sunday when she scored 10 points to help in an offensive onslaught against Carolina All-Stars 15U BSB. She has played her middle school ball at Forest Creek MS.

The 15U division at this past weekend's Southeast Kickoff utilized a showcase format as opposed to a bracket one. Despite that, Charlotte Dream Elite 14U's matchup with Fire Ball Basketball Academy was a de facto championship game given both squads were unbeaten going into that matchup. Jackson giving Charlotte Dream Elite 14U key minutes were integral in what became a 27-point win. She was one of two middle schoolers on this past season's roster for coach Kenny Orr at 5A Division 1 Rock Hill. Jackson can find minutes either as a guard or a forward and has plenty of speed with an ability to find attacking lanes to the basket with strong finishes at the cup.
