James stood out during the Top 250 Expo for her overall movement on offense. It was exciting to see her understanding of the game and how to move with and without the basketball. Her cuts to the basket were impactful and efficient. She consistently cut very hard and was able to get so many good looks because of it. Her speed and athleticism help her footwork when attacking the basket. She did well when attacking from the perimeter but also impacted when in the lane. She uses her power to put back rebounds or to finish above taller defenders.

Tortice proved she is a sniper from anywhere on the floor. She has an effortless shot beyond the arc and is beyond efficient in the mid range. She hustles every possession and is a defensive specialist when applying full court pressure. Tortorice proved she can defend basically every position on the floor. She’s comfortable applying pressure and can do it consistently. She cuts well without the ball and finishes strong against contact. She uses her length to grab to hit 15 footers over smaller defenders.
[player_tooltip player_id="209612" first="Alexandra" last="Stricker"] | Sheboygan Lutheran | 5’10
Stricker brought fantastic energy to the Top 250 Expo. She has incredible toughness and ability to finish at the rim consistently. She has great size and ability to play both inside and from the perimeter. Her handles are there and she is comfortable being pressured on the ball. She has a super high upside as her fundamentals are there. She’s strong with the ball and does all the little things right on the floor. I was super impressed by her movement in transition and being able to finish on the go.
[player_tooltip player_id="209591" first="Lindsey" last="Schadewalt"] | New Glarus | 5’9
Schadewalt may have been one of the biggest stock risers from the Top 250 event. She’s a gifted athlete who already plays with so much confidence and grit on the floor. She has a high basketball IQ and does so well making the right read each game. She moves well without the ball but can really put up huge numbers offensively. Her ability to change direction is exceptional, paired with her speed going downhil the combo guard was super difficult to defend. She’s comfortable in the lane and did not shy away from put back baskets against stronger defenders. She has great tempo on the floor and did well getting her teammates involved in the half court.
[player_tooltip player_id="209595" first="Taylor" last="Stremlow"] | Verona | 5’8
Stremlow made noise due to her overall work ethic on the floor. The kid truly game 100% every minute and on both ends. She’s clearly an incredible athlete with a high upside for the high school game. She’s a facilitator and a pass first guard that finds her teammates so well. I was impressed by her ability to thread the needle and find her post players so well. She sees the floor and makes the right reed. Stremlow was consistent in her shooting during the expo and had great shot selection, nothing was forced. A super high energy guard with great ball handles, Stremlow will be an exciting prospect at the next level.
[player_tooltip player_id="209584" first="Amaya" last="Bridgewater"] | Martin Luther | 5’9
Bridgewater is a tough wing that uses her body very well. She has great natural size for her position- she is physical and utilizes her body in traffic. She is stronger than most guards on the perimeter, so she can body up well and get her way on both ends of the court. Bridgewater is a prolific pure scorer as well as a big time shot maker. She has the range to score at all three levels, and she is especially impressive off the catch and when stepping into her shot. I was impressed by her confidence at the Top 250 event and her ability to be a leader on the floor and get her teammates involved.
Jasmine Howard | Rufus King | 5’5
Jasmine is an incredibly athletic guard with very high upside. She is physical and welcomes contact in the lane despite being shorter than most defenders. She plays with tremendous intensity on the floor; she is the type of player to get the crowd on their feed with just one fast break play. She slashes through the lane well, and she is phenomenal at using her body to create space on the drive. She’s a clear floor general and finds her teammates open in so many crafty ways. She can easily be a spark plug player for Rufus King and has elite shot selection already. She works well in a fast system where she can get out in the open court and display her athletic. Her ball handling is rapidly improving and her fundamentals in general are on the upswing. Look for Howard to add more confidence to her perimeter shot and begin to know them down with consistency.
