Featured image is of [player_tooltip player_id="34558" first="Ryan" last="Viele"] of Hamilton Southeastern High School and Indy Magic 17U BlueStar-Blanding. Last Sunday, October 11th, was Indiana’s second annual Top-250 Expo, showcasing many of the state’s top ballplayers, along with a handful of young ladies from Illinois, Kentucky, Michigan, and Ohio. The event took place in Fort Wayne at the Plassman Athletic Center at Turnstone, and there were 158 registrants, 30+ more than a year ago. With 16 teams at the event, nearly ten kids on every roster, and each team only playing three games apiece, it was difficult to cover everyone at length (I apologize if I miss anyone). At the same time, I wanted to circle back and touch on a few prospects from each team who I haven’t mentioned in a previous article already. We try to spread out our coverage of big events like these, and as I’ve stated all week so far, there were many more girls who did play well than just those mentioned in the first few articles. TEAM #13 [player_tooltip player_id="203662" first="Karina" last="Scott"], 2023, 5-4 CG, Fishers H.S. - Karina is a really nice athlete with wiry strength and some length. She plays with a good motor, she can defend anywhere, and she is a creative playmaker off the bounce who can score. Joey Rastrelli, 2024, 5-6 CG, Warsaw Community H.S. - Joey is a little on the thin side right now, but she is very long, fluid, and somewhat smooth. She has a solid handle, and she looks like a shooter from the perimeter. [caption id="attachment_211974" align="alignleft" width="100"] [player_tooltip player_id="203662" first="Karina" last="Scott"][/caption]Myriah Wigfall, 2023, 5-9 PF, Mishawaka Marian H.S. - This was my first time seeing Myriah, and she is a strong, physical frontline player who has a nice motor. She actually seeks contact inside, and she will box out and defend. Alexis Wines, 2022, 5-5 CG, Lebanon H.S. - I saw Alexis in August as well, and I feel like she’s a really nice small school guard. She can handle it and play point, she can create for herself or others, plus she can knock down shots. [player_tooltip player_id="34558" first="Ryan" last="Viele"], 2022, 5-8 CG, Hamilton Southeastern H.S. - Ryan is extremely long, North/South fast, and athletic. I have always liked her toughness and motor, and over the years she has greatly improved her skillset and hoops IQ. [player_tooltip player_id="209423" first="Laynie" last="Graham"], 2021, 5-9 SF, Gibson Southern H.S. - Laynie has put together a couple of really nice showcases this Fall. She is long, fluidly athletic, but it has been her ability to consistently make shots outside that has stood out. Daneijah Wynn, 2024, 5-9 PF, Lawrence North H.S. - The Wildcats have a number of talented youngsters in their program, and Daneijah arrives this year. She is a strong athlete, and she does a nice job scoring it in the mid-post. TEAM #14 [player_tooltip player_id="128189" first="Amanda" last="Thatcher"], 2022, 5-4 CG, Fort Wayne Northrop H.S. - Amanda is a very athletic, quick/fast playmaker. She can score the ball herself, but she can also break down defenses and find teammates. She defends hard as well. [player_tooltip player_id="34555" first="Samara" last="Douglas"], 2022, 5-10 PF, Covenant Christian H.S. (Indianapolis) - Samara is always battling for rebounds and loose balls. She’s a high-motor kid with good athleticism who can make plays in the mid-post or at the basket. [caption id="attachment_212049" align="alignright" width="100"] [player_tooltip player_id="177324" first="Chloey" last="Graham"][/caption][player_tooltip player_id="128132" first="Bailie" last="Stephens"], 2022, 5-6 PG, Warsaw Community H.S. - Bailie plays with a tremendous motor, she has a nice toughness to her, and she’s a solid all-around athlete with very good skill. She is playing much more efficiently now. [player_tooltip player_id="177324" first="Chloey" last="Graham"], 2024, 5-8 SG, Gibson Southern H.S. - Lady Titan fans should be excited about Chloey. She is a strong, athletic, and skillful wing guard. She can really shoot it outside, but she can also occasionally run offense. [player_tooltip player_id="97242" first="Diana" last="Burgher"], 2022, 6-0 CF, North Harrison H.S. - With her combination of fluidity, bounce, and skill at the basket, in the mid-post, and around the perimeter, Diana continues to be one of the better 2022 prospects in Indiana. [player_tooltip player_id="128170" first="Destinee" last="Hooks"], 2022, 5-10 PF, Indianapolis North Central H.S. - Destinee is a strong, somewhat physical, and solid athlete. She can battle inside and will rebound, but she has also shown great touch around the perimeter. TEAM #15 [player_tooltip player_id="128183" first="Colleen" last="Miller"], 2022, 5-7 CG, Northridge H.S. - I think Colleen is a bit undervalued, maybe because she is good at most things but isn’t elite at any one specific thing. I do like her versatility, motor, skill, and her feel for the game. [caption id="attachment_212007" align="alignleft" width="100"] [player_tooltip player_id="59774" first="Cadence" last="Singleton"][/caption][player_tooltip player_id="59774" first="Cadence" last="Singleton"], 2023, 5-11 C, Jeffersonville H.S. - Cadence is a physical, strong, and powerful front-liner who likes contact. She enforces her will at both ends of the floor, and she can dominate the boards and score it inside. [player_tooltip player_id="99428" first="Kaylee" last="Fuelling"], 2021, 5-6 SG, Norwell H.S. - Kaylee is a really nice, wiry strong, fluidly athletic guard who does a little of everything well. She plays hard, plus she can handle, shoot/score, defend, and play with intelligence/savvy. Kiarra Loveless, 2024, 5-11 PF, Westfield H.S. - I have been very intrigued by Kiarra’s game, and I think she’s somewhat underappreciated. She’s a nice athlete who seems to take a lot of pride in her effort, defense, and rebounding. TEAM #16 Brooke Pocock, 2022, 5-5 CG, Fort Wayne Carroll H.S. - I really enjoy Brooke’s game. She is fairly strong, quietly tough-nosed, and she plays with a great motor. She can really shoot it outside, and she has a good feel for the game. [caption id="attachment_212101" align="alignright" width="100"] [player_tooltip player_id="128180" first="Jazmyn" last="Smith"][/caption][player_tooltip player_id="97285" first="Haley" last="Thomas"], 2022, 6-0 C, West Lafayette Harrison H.S. - Haley is a strong, physical, and hard-working frontline player. But while she can be a true "big" inside, she also has some touch from around the perimeter. Jordan Patterson, 2023, 5-6 CG, University H.S. - Jordan is a wiry strong and very athletic combo guard. In early July, she looked more like a playmaking scorer, but now she’s more efficient and finding open teammates better. [player_tooltip player_id="128180" first="Jazmyn" last="Smith"], 2022, 5-11 CF, West Noble H.S. - Jazmyn is a very unique prospect, because she can play about anywhere on the floor. She is big/strong enough to battle inside, but she’s also a nice athlete with some ball skill.
