20-21 League Preview- Central Catholic League

Today, our league preview focus is on The Central Catholic League. This league is filled with solid players!  Bishop Hartley, Bishop Ready, Bishop Watterson, Columbus School for Girls, and St. Francis DeSales will all be striving to be the best in their league. Listed below are top players to watch this season: <strong>Bishop Hartley: [player_tooltip player_id="32583" first="Milayna" last="Williams"]: 2021, 5'7, PG/SG </strong>Her leadership and confidence she shows with knocking down the outside shots, 3’s, and creating easy buckets by maneuvering around multiple players makes her a problem for opponents! <strong>Bishop Hartley: Alexis Cashwell: 2022, 5'9,  PG/SG, </strong>She can do it all, from effortless baseball passes on transition, to draining 3’s, picking pockets, rebounding, and a strong basketball IQ that benefits everyone on the court! <strong>Bishop Hartley: Kami Kortokrax 2021, 5'9, SF, </strong>Great leader, who will do anything to help her team win. Huge scoring threat, is a magnet for steals, physical inside in grabbing rebounds, and runs transition very well- play maker! <strong>Bishop Hartley: Ella Brandewie 2023, 6'3, C </strong> Her inside presence in blocking shots, rebounding, scoring, and ability to start transition quickly with her outlet passes is huge for the team. <strong>Bishop Hartley: Kiarra McElrath 2023, 5’6, PG</strong>  Very quick guard, plays outstanding hard-nosed defense, can run the point well, good decision maker. <strong>Bishop Watterson: [player_tooltip player_id="159011" first="Kilyn" last="McGuff"] 2021, 6'0, </strong>This girl is a beast, so athletic, cleans the boards all game long, can handle the ball, and is a scorer! High basketball IQ, who makes smart decisions. Love her defense intensity- she's a big time player. <strong>Bishop Watterson: Danielle Grim 2021, 5'6, PG  </strong>Electrifying player with outstanding handles! Sees the court so well, makes beautiful passes/ creates easy shots for herself and teammates. And she's deadly behind the arc, as well as mid-range and taking it to the basket. <strong>Bishop Ready: Sierra Schlosser, 2022, 5'9, F  </strong>Junior captain who led the team last year in rebounding, averaging 8 rebounds per game. <strong>Bishop Ready: Reagan Wheatley, 2022, 5'7, G  </strong>Junior captain who returns on the perimeter. Very strong all-around athlete, solid handles, smart decision maker. <strong>Bishop Ready: Abby Grundei, 2022, 5'6, G </strong>Another solid player for Ready, who is fierce with her defense; she's the team's best 'on the ball defender', can pick pockets, and run transition. <strong>Columbus School for Girls: Eva Nicolosi 2021, G  </strong>Scrappy guard who anticipates steals very well! Can lead well in transition, and go to the basket strong.
