The teams in the GCL Coed division are Kettering Alter, Hamilton Badin, Dayton Carroll, Dayton Chaminade Julienne, Middletown Fenwick, Cincinnati McNicholas, Purcell Marian and Roger Bacon.

Should be a great showdown at the top of the division between the top three teams. All have quality players returning with Roger Bacon likely with the most talent back. The Spartans are the defending champs, but by only one game each over both Carroll and Purcell Marian.
The future looks bright for Kettering Alter as they have several freshman looking to make an impact with the Knights this season, or at the very least next year. When will they contribute? Only time will tell but the 2024 class at Alter includes the likes of Riley Smith, Abby Stolly, Hannah Mayse, [player_tooltip player_id="218329" first="Adia" last="Strauser"], Elena Thompson and Ushana Garst.
Purcell Marian has always made a run in the tournament, and this year they return four of their top five players from last year. [player_tooltip player_id="213276" first="Kara" last="King"] is their top player, but watch for junior Mckenna Haugabook to make an impact again this year.
Roger Bacon brings back a pair of solid college recruits as [player_tooltip player_id="91065" first="Kylee" last="Sheppard"] has verballed to Providence and [player_tooltip player_id="91067" first="Clarissa" last="Craig"] will be attending the University of Cincinnati. Also joining the Spartans this year is 2022 move-in Kendall Knisely who comes from Bellbrook. The Spartans have won the last two league titles including last year when there was only one division.

Carroll was part of history last year, and not in a good way. They were on the floor warming up at the state final four last March when the OHSAA made the decision to pull them off the court and cancel the state tournament for the first time since it began many years ago.
Carroll coach Cecilia Grosselin will be a part of the coaching staff that is headed over to Switzerland next summer with Team Flyght, a team assembled by former University of Dayton basketball standout Chris Wright. The team will make the trip at the end of June 2021 with several of the top players in the Dayton area.
