<strong><span style="font-size: 14pt; font-family: ’arial black’, sans-serif;">4 Thoughts on the League</span></strong>
After four consecutive losses in the district finals, is this the year Wayne can put it all together to make a run at the Final Four? They lost 2 D1 college players from last years senior class, but returns Bree Hall, the PGH Ohio #1 ’21 in Ohio. The South Carolina recruit has seen her game grow and is on a mission this season more than ever. She has help with fellow seniors Alyssa Hargrove-Hall, [player_tooltip player_id="211754" first="Lovie" last="Malone"] and Jacquel Bronaugh along with several younger players who will be a factor.
Lebanon and Trotwood has left the conference, meaning the league will be combined into one division and one overall champion. Centerville also has plenty of talent back with the two-headed D1 monster of [player_tooltip player_id="32611" first="Cotie" last="McMahon"] (undecided) and [player_tooltip player_id="32562" first="Amy" last="Velasco"] (BG). Wayne and Fairmont swept them last season, so they have something to prove.
It will be an interesting season at Springfield with the early graduation of Micky Perdue and the sad off-season passing of returning senior Destiny Wells. It will be a whole new look Wildcats team this season as they try to compete in a very talented conference.
A kid that often gets overlooked in this conference is Miamisburg 2022 [player_tooltip player_id="215423" first="Anna" last="Long"]. She is a D1 prospect and is one of the most consistent players in the league while putting up solid numbers every night.

The Sports City U travel squad is very familiar with this conference. Both Hall and McMahon play for this team considered by some to be the top independent travel team in the nation. They also had both of the Westbelds from Fairmont in the past.
Beavercreek coach Ed Zink remains the all-time winningest girls high school basketball coach in Ohio history. With a sectional tournament win last year, Zink reached the 800-win club, and is the only girls coach to ever reach that plateau.
