As we approach the midway point of the 2020-2021 season, the first official signing period has already come and gone, and the careers of this Senior class are headed for the homestretch. With that said, there are a number of ladies in our Top-225 who have yet to make a verbal commitment or sign with a given school. Below is a look at ten such players who I feel could be really nice small college additions, along with some brief comments about each of them.
104. [player_tooltip player_id="99424" first="Daylynn" last="Thornton"], 2021, 5-8 CG, McCutcheon H.S.
- Strong and athletic playmaker, really had a nice Summer/Fall grassroots season. Can handle it and create offense, can shoot/score from all three levels, and can play multiple roles at the defensive end.
107. [player_tooltip player_id="130402" first="Katherine" last="Benter"], 2021, 5-9 SF, Brownstown Central H.S.
- Somewhat underappreciated, maybe a little unorthodox, but highly skilled and productive. Can play a point forward role, is capable of making shots at all three levels, and plays with a great motor.
113. [player_tooltip player_id="209422" first="Lauren" last="Pollock"], 2021, 6-3 C, LaPorte H.S.
- Tall, extremely long, and wiry strong. Has started to develop a bit more of an offensive game, has some touch to 15-feet, but is primarily a nice shot-blocker and a willing rebounder. A lot of upside.
115. [player_tooltip player_id="130359" first="Kiana" last="Oelling"], 2021, 5-10 SF, Valparaiso H.S.
- Long, fluid, and somewhat smooth. Has always been a point forward type and can make plays for others off the bounce. Has gotten stronger, more physical, and started scoring it much better.
131. [player_tooltip player_id="130375" first="Sidney" last="Wagner"], 2021, 5-6 CG, Tippecanoe Valley H.S.
- Wiry strong, tough-nosed, and athletic guard. Can make plays off the bounce for herself or teammates, can shoot/score at all three levels, and is a willing defender. Has ridden Motocross in the past.
144. [player_tooltip player_id="184249" first="Kady" last="Clancy"], 2021, 5-7 SG, Scottsburg H.S.
- Followed a really nice 2019-2020 season with a strong Summer/Fall. Very nice athlete in all directions, wiry strong, and showed the ability to shoot/score the ball consistently. Versatile defender as well.
147. [player_tooltip player_id="130367" first="Kassie" last="Stanko"], 2021, 6-0 C, Morgan Township H.S.
- Under-recruited at this point. Has good size, strength, and physicality. Also has good footwork and deceptively quick feet/good balance, plus shows some touch and ability in the mid-post. Rim-runs hard also.
172. [player_tooltip player_id="130368" first="Amaya" last="Thomas"], 2021, 5-11 PF, Evansville Central H.S.
- Strong/powerful, physical, but also reasonably long and fairly athletic. Plays with a nice motor. Prefers to play around the basket, but can finish through contact. Active and physical rebounder.
183. [player_tooltip player_id="130361" first="Avery" last="Neff"], 2021, 5-4 CG, Heritage Hills H.S.
- Little, but quick/fast and athletic guard with length. Has point guard skill and creativity in her, but has typically played off the ball. Capable perimeter shooter, but also a feisty and quick defender.
186. [player_tooltip player_id="184240" first="Sullivan" last="Kessler"], 2021, 5-7 CG, Eastside H.S.
- Wiry strong, solid all-around athlete. Has some length and toughness to her as well. Can handle and run offense, but is a nice shooter/scorer herself. Plays with a good motor and is always making plays.
