28.5 League Session III Oregon Elite Bronze Day 2

Oregon Elite Bronze played a tough game with Cal Sparks SS24 Gold in which the Sparks run out to an 8-0 run before Elite called a time-out.  [player_tooltip player_id="158530" first="Elka" last="Prechel"] provided for some early offensive moments with a mid-range jumper and a three-pointer.  Hanne Hopkins began her offensive exploits early as a fearless offensive player with the ability to get loose at any second.  Oregon Elite kept up 12 - 21 as Cal Sparks began continuing stomping on the gas pedal as they had a lead for the entirety of the game.  By halftime the score was 36 - 23 in favor of Cal Sparks.  [player_tooltip player_id="207835" first="Campbell" last="Sheffield"] was a vital forward for Oregon Elite as she played a versatile role for them as well as [player_tooltip player_id="158512" first="Anna" last="Dazey"].  However, their spirited effort came short as they took the loss to the Sparks 50 - 65 - although it wasn’t without a determined comeback at the end which had their bench cheering. <span style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="158523" first="Gretta" last="Baker"] 2022 5’10" SG Oregon Elite Bronze/Cleveland HS</strong> - Gretta is the confident shooter who lets it go without warning as she sank a deep three and provided as a facilitator alongside the perimeter as well as a solid defender.  She is learning how to be effective without being a main scorer and it is certainly working.  Baker contributed a 3 point, 2 rebound, 2 assist, 1 steal effort.</span> <span style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>Hanne Hopkins 2023 5’8" SG Oregon Elite Bronze/Gladstone HS</strong> - Hopkins is a dynamic guard in the transition setting with the ability to turn on the boosters at any given point.  She is also able to slip past defenders with wit and speed and get between defenders along the rim.  Extremely fluid at the rim and an excellent shooter.  Finished with a superb 8 point, 3 rebound, 1 assist effort.</span> <span style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="158530" first="Elka" last="Prechel"] 2022 5’6" SG Oregon Elite Bronze/Corvallis HS</strong> - Prechel had an ensemble of mid-range jumpers and sinked a three-pointer as she is a significant shooter with a quick release and good release point on her jumper.  The Corvallis guard is also a determined defender and aggressive rebounder.  She contributed 7 points and 2 rebounds for Oregon Elite Bronze.</span> <span style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="207835" first="Campbell" last="Sheffield"] 2022 5’10" SF Oregon Elite Bronze/West Linn HS</strong> - The West Linn wing has crafty ways to score and avoid defenders at the rim and is a distinguished rebounder who fights on the boards - on both ends of the floor.  Is a selfless player who knows when to give up the ball to an open teammate.  Was a difference maker with a 6 point, 4 rebound, 2 assist, 1 steal effort for Oregon Elite Bronze.</span> <span style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="158512" first="Anna" last="Dazey"] 2021 5’7" PG Oregon Elite Bronze/Corvallis HS</strong> - Anna is a defensive engaged floor general who makes lofty passes in traffic as well as fights on the offensive boards and is always active when she is out on the floor.  Her stat-line was representative of her activity out on the hardwood as she makes plays from all corners.  Finished with 4 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists, and 1 steal.</span> <span style="font-weight: 400;"><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="204611" first="Hallie" last="Romig"] 2021 5’8" SG Oregon Elite Bronze/Sherwood HS</strong> - Romig is a scrappy scorer inside the paint as well as can spot up for the open jumper as she found ways to be an offensive spark for Oregon Elite throughout the entirety of the game.  She sank a shot alongside the perimeter and finished well around the rim.  Finished with a team high 9 points in a nice offensive effort.</span>
