With the conclusion of the 2025-26 Oregon High School basketball season, it's time to recognize the exceptional talent that has emerged on the court. These young women have not only showcased their skills during games but have also demonstrated remarkable determination and competitive spirit throughout the season.

Here are several underclassmen who truly stood out this past season—the “Underclassmen of Oregon” to watch:

Frankie Koehnke, 5'6” PG, Regis

As just a freshman, Frankie Koehnke played a pivotal role in leading Regis to the 2A Oregon State Championship, averaging nearly 18 points per game. She has shown great composure on the court, making swift offensive moves to the basket and demonstrating range with her shots, extending from the paint out to the three-point line. Frankie is only beginning to show her potential, making an immediate impact and promising even more growth in the years to come.

[player_tooltip player_id='1264930' first='Jada' last='Kirk'], 5'11” G, Mountainside HS

Kirk stepped onto the court as a freshman and immediately established herself as a defensive force, fearlessly guarding the top players in every game. Her relentless energy on defense was matched by her developing contributions on offense, where she worked alongside teammates like [player_tooltip player_id='950224' first='Izzy' last='Shandy'], Geovanna Darlington, and the inside presence of Kyle Proulz. Jada's all-around effort set the tone for her team this season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1208223' first='Bella' last='Amens'], 5'9” PG/G, Tualatin HS

[player_tooltip player_id='1208223' first='Bella' last='Amens'] has made significant strides this season, bringing a burst of energy and quickness that puts pressure on opposing defenses. Whether coming off the bench or on the floor, Bella kept the Tualatin offense moving and asserted herself as a reliable scoring option. Her efforts have been a key factor in the Timberwolves' continued dominance throughout the year.

[player_tooltip player_id='1249168' first='Nahla' last='Humphries'], 5'7” G, Century HS

[player_tooltip player_id='1249168' first='Nahla' last='Humphries'] made an immediate impact as a true freshman for the Century girls' basketball team. She's known for her crafty drives to the basket and her dependable short-range shooting. With several seniors, including Stanford signee [player_tooltip player_id='832597' first='Kiara' last='Green'], moving on, Nahla is poised to become one of Century's leading scorers in the future.

[player_tooltip player_id='1822968' first='Brooklyn' last='Evans'], 5'7” G, Banks HS

As the only sophomore for Banks, [player_tooltip player_id='1822968' first='Brooklyn' last='Evans'] stands out as a leader who will continue to guide her team for the next few years. Renowned for her defensive skills as a “silent thief,” Brooklyn's presence is felt on both ends of the court. She motivates her teammates and is especially effective as a three-point specialist, a quality that helped Banks make a strong push in the state tournament.

With the conclusion of the 2025-26 Oregon High School basketball season, it's time to recognize the exceptional talent that has emerged on the court. These young women have not only showcased their skills during games but have also demonstrated remarkable determination and competitive spirit throughout the season.
