I decided to venture on the outskirts of Houston to catch some action because several PGH Top 100 players were going to be suited up yet 2022 [player_tooltip player_id="135390" first="Kylie" last="Minter"] (Clear Springs) and Dalana Carter (Barbers Hill) were out due to minor injures but the season is you, even though I’m not, I’ll catch back up with them later in the season. Minter is one of the top shooters in the state while Carter can simply dominate from the one position. One thing I know is "talent is everywhere" and this is what I saw
Clear Springs
2021
[player_tooltip player_id="97628" first="Jermia" last="Green"]-still not 100% but still one of the best in her class, she understands how to control the tempo as well as push the ball and she can take defenders off the dribble with ease and did it several times last night but her court vision, ability to attack and score or attack and dish is second to none
[player_tooltip player_id="136345" first="Niyah" last="Johnson"]
Johnson has evolved from more than a back to the basket player and can legitimately score on the short jumper as well as attack from 8-10 feet effectively. She’s a beast on the boards, goes after everything, and her defense inside as well as outside the paint coupled with her "long and athletic" gives her options
Zoe Smith
Smith is powerful in the paint, on both ends because she finishes strongly and rebounds on both ends of the court. She also runs the court well and will just battle for everything

2022
[player_tooltip player_id="135388" first="Kenna" last="Gibson"]
Gibson is one of those players I love to watch shooting the ball and she put on an offensive show last night, not only scoring but defending and I made her Player Of The Game

Also, seniors Cassandra Rodriguez and Colbrina Flowers, as well as junior Kylenn Tolopka, helped open things up dropping long balls and 6’4 sophomore Lily Tankoua is steadily showing improvement

Barbers Hill
No roster on Max Preps so let me see
2020
Moriah Shaw
Not sure if this is the right person, I looked at last seasons roster so I’m probably right, the way she can attack the basket from nut she also can do it from the left. Watching her defense as well as playing the passing lane, the thing that impressed me, even more, was that she played the same no matter what the score was
2022
Rachel Sarls
Sarls plays within herself, can score in the flow as well as play good defense. She can shoot the mid to long-range, she understands how to create her shot and she was efficient last night at keeping the team in it early. She’s heady and just understands how to pick and choose

2024
Cynthia Lecompte
Lecompte will definitely be added to the WATCH LIST after watching her show me a list of things she can do right now, like take defenders off the dribble and score, great body control and athleticism yet her poise against one of the areas top teams, as a freshman, really got me going, that as well as her playing the passing lane and with her upside, she’s going to terrorize many on both ends of the court
