Take a look at a few players posed to make an impact this season
Abbie Aalsma Abbie Aalsma 6'0" | CG Waupun | 2022 State WI | Waupun | Junior | 5’9 G
As mentioned Aalsma led all scores last season. She averaged 19.5 points per game and put up huge numbers each night. A sniper from behind the arc, she made 77 three point shots last year. In a win over Columbus she scored a season-high 30 points and shot 75% from the floor. A floor general for her team, she knows how to get her teammates involved. Her court vision is elite. She averaged nearly 3 assists per game. Aalsma is committed to Illinois State.
Anna Fahrney | Winneconne | Senior | 5’7 G
Fahrney plays such an important role for this Winneconne team and will be essential to their success this season. As a junior she averaged 12.2 points per game and knocked down 57 shots from beyond the arc. We saw glimpses of how much of an offensive threat Fahrney could be. In a game against Waupun, Fahrney dropped a season-high 27 points. She can make and is not afraid to take the big shot.
Sierra Grimm | Plymouth | Senior | 5’9 G
Grimm has a very impressive game that is exciting to watch. She gets involved everywhere on the court- she’s scrappy, athletic and relentless. A defensive powerhouse, Grimm is so comfortable guarding the opposing team’s best player. She’s confident pressuring the ball and always has active hands and feet. She had over 35 steals last season. A floor general as well, Grimm has tremendous court vision and ability to thread the needed. Her head is consistently on a swivel and her passes are highlight reel like.
Kennedy Adams | Kewaskum | Senior | 5’5 G
Adams really stepped up her game last season and became an impact player for her team. She made big shots and big passes when her team needed her. She averaged a quiet 7 points per game and will certainly put up big numbers again this season. She’s a stud on offense and does well finishing against contact or reading the defense to pull up mid range. When she is playing against taller defenders, don’t count Adam out- she will still impact with her incredible passing. Last season she dished out over 50 assists and averaged 2.2 per game. A defensive standout as well, Adams grabbed 65 steals for Kewaskum.
Emma Thistle | Kettle Moraine Lutheran | Senior | 5’4 G
Thistle is going to be one of the go- to scorers for her team this season. With a leadership role as a senior, look for Thistle to gain some confidence running the offense. She averaged 7 points per game as a junior. Her handles are advanced and she does well using dribble moves to hold off defenders. She’s shifty on offense and has great movement when attacking from the top of the key. She really improved her three point shot late last season so look for her to be more consistent knocking it down this season.
