Many of the top players in the state of Iowa gathered at Kingdom Hoops for the Prep Girls Hoops Iowa Top 250 Expo in October.
Games featured intense play throughout with athletes getting the opportunity to showcase themselves in front of college scouts while preparing for the start of the upcoming 2020-21 basketball season.
With so many changes hitting due to the novel coronavirus, including many summer camps and tournaments being scrapped, the Prep Girls Hoops Iowa Top 250 Expo provided those players with a great chance.
We will be offering up a recap from each game of the expo.
<strong>Jayden Nitchals, Estherville-Lincoln Central (2022)</strong>
It will be tough for Jayden Nitchals to better her sophomore campaign, but from the looks of it, she is prepared to handle that pressure. The Class of 2022 prospect produced a team-leading 344 points with 155 rebounds, 42 blocks, 35 steals, 29 assists and 1 blocks for Estherville-LC last winter.
Nitchals, who also buried 63 three-pointers, shows incredible court awareness. She is constantly closing in on the loose ball and is a strong finisher at the rim.

A member of the talented Class of 2022, [player_tooltip player_id="129678" first="Tori" last="Knight"] started 16 games and played in 21 for Cedar Rapids Kennedy a season ago. She finished the year with 185 points, 69 rebounds, 18 steals, 11 blocks and 11 assists, sinking 31 three-pointers.
Knight can shoot the ball from practically anywhere on the court. Her high-arc of a shot makes it tough to defend and she is quick to find an open space on the floor to launch from.

One of two returning starters for Dubuque Senior, [player_tooltip player_id="129050" first="Kayla" last="Grall"] appears ready to shoulder more of the load this winter. The Class of 2022 Grall scored 111 points with 41 rebounds, 17 assists and 12 steals, making 11 three-pointers.
From the looks of her play at the recent Expo, Grall has improved her outside shooting. She is also a strong defender who is capable of playing multiple positions.

Whether it be the point or shooting guard position, Geneseo’s [player_tooltip player_id="204682" first="Jordan" last="Porter"] can take care of the ball and hoist it up. The Class of 2022 prospect displays an uncanny ability to make plays on both ends of the floor, possessing excellent defensive skills.

A newcomer to the West Des Moines Valley roster will be [player_tooltip player_id="63030" first="Sophia" last="Hope"], as the Class of 2024 prospect is an tough defender. Hope makes sure to always be in the right place at the right time, as well.
