Prep Girls Hoops took in a day of action at the Zaxby’s Tip Off Classic this weekend at Scott’s Branch HS. Lets take a look some of the Top Performers from the Upperclassmen in the event right here.

Parker scored 17 points in a losing effort for the Lady Eagles. Parker has been a staple in the backcourt for Scott’s Branch HS over the years for Head Coach Lucinda Stukes. Parker was able to knockdown some early three pointers in the game. Parker plays the guard position and really likes to attack the cup. Parker will play this season with a very young team around her and a new county foe in the region in East Clarendon HS with [player_tooltip player_id="124090" first="<strong>Talaysia" last="Cooper"</strong>].

<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="124080" first="Layken" last="Cox"] (2021) - Sumter HS </strong>
Cox a post player has a great touch on her shot. Cox really knows how to use the backboard to convert shots. Cox is a physical presence in the paint with her ability to draw contact down low. Cox converted several shots around the cup finishing with her left-hand. Cox recently signed with Gardner Webb (NCAA D1) for next season.

Colclough is still a RAW talent on the hardwood. Colclough is very athletic and runs the floor very well. Colclough still must polish up on her offensive skills for the next level. Colclough really defends well away from the ball and isn’t afraid to mix it up at times. Colclough still has her best basketball in front of her down the road.

<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="175333" first="Reilly" last="Ward"] (2021) - Carolina Forest HS (Myrtle Beach) </strong>
Ward and her teammates ran into a very good Sumter HS team here today. Ward is best suited playing the shooting guard position for the Lady Panthers. Ward has a good shooting stroke when open. Ward needs time and space for her shot.

Mitchell a small forward is playing more inside at times for the Fighting Gators. Mitchell seems to be most comfortable playing out on the wing with her ability to knockdown shots. Mitchell has really piled up the numbers over the 3 previous years on varsity. Mitchell came into this season with 1,055 career points after averaging 19.9 ppg last season.
