Errors happen and so it goes a 2023 found her way into the 2024 list. That player’s has since been moved over to that class and should appear in the next update for that class. Andover’s Brooke Walker Brooke Walker 5'8" | CG Andover | 2024 State KS led off the top ten and Shawnee Mission West’s Izzy Joyce Izzy Joyce 5'5" | PG Shawnee Mission West | 2024 State KS the second ten. Olathe Northwest’s Skylar Pierce Skylar Pierce 6'1" | CG Olathe Northwest | 2024 KS led #21 – #30 and Andover Central’s Haven Deckinger Haven Deckinger 5'3" | SG Andover Central | 2024 State KS brings us up to the final dozen by leading spots #31 – #40. Hundreds of freshman have taken the floor and still more will within a few weeks. Most will not start separating themselves from their classmates for a couple years while others are already making dramatic impacts on their varsity squads. Remember, the rankings are about potential to play at the next level. Projecting that potential for the freshman class is especially preliminary and the 52 on this initial list is a starting point for future expansions.
Without further ado enjoy a look at the final thirteen players in the initial 2024 rankings.
#41 Sadie Estill Sadie Estill 5'11" | PF Haven | 2024 State KS , 5’11”, SF/PF, Haven, Next Level Eclipse – Estill is a active, lengthy forward with good hands who rebounds strongly and can finish around the rim. She also runs well and moves well into space.
#42 Addie Kirmer Addie Kirmer 5'7" | PG Emporia | 2024 State KS , 5’6″, PG, Emporia, Wheat State Elite – During summer ball Tulsa JYD Coach Geoff Hauger stated that his team could not stop her. Playing for a Craig Nicholson coached team, her standing out is big.t
#43 Mariah Barcus Mariah Barcus 5'4" | CG Douglas | 2024 KS , 5’4″, CG, Douglas, Next Level Eclipse – Barcus, whom I saw at a MAYB June tournament, can dribble with speed and has strong potential as a perimeter defender.

KS
, 5’8″, W, Ottawa, Lady Prospects – At the Lady Prospects November 2020 exposure camp she showed good slip step ability off the catch on the baseline. She also scored from beyond the arc as well as with runners down the lane.
#45 Taylin Stallbaumer Taylin Stallbaumer 5'7" | CG Seaman | 2024 State KS , 5’7″, CG, Seaman A starter, Stallbaumer has hit the floor running and already has become an important scorer
#46
Tatum Tindall

Tindall

Manhattan | 2024
State
KS
, 5’10”, PF, Manhattan, SSA Elite – I was able to see Tindall play a couple times this past summer, including at MAYB’s Reign the Plains tournament. Tindall has good hands in transition and is able to catch off the bounce consistently. Her block game is solid, squaring after a catch, stepping through to score, and using a turnaround jumper. Tindall runs well and competes well on both ends.
#47 Rachel Tomac, 5’11”, PF, Hutchinson – Tomac has good size and length to go with post move scoring ability around the basket. She also transitions well and is growing in athleticism after having a strong volleyball season.
#48
Kylan Turnipseed

Ellsworth | 2024
State
KS
, 5’5″, PG, Ellsworth,
Next Level Eclipse
– I enjoyed a look at Turnipseed at the June 13 MAYB tournament in Wichita. She showed good speed in transition and quickness to play the top of a press. A solid player.
#49 Naomi White Naomi White 5'9" | CG Bellevue West | 2024 NE , 5’6″, SG, Derby, Midwest United – Spotted at a July MAYB Tournament, White quickly showed herself to be smart and aggressive. She is one of three freshman on the varsity roster for the state championship caliber Panthers.
#50 Shea Wurtz Shea Wurtz 5'9" | SF Clifton-Clyde | 2024 State KS , 5’8″, CG/SF, Clifton-Clyde, SSA Elite – Through the first four games of the season she is averaging 20.3 points and 9.5 rebounds per game. I had the opportunity to see her play a couple times this past summer and even then she showed that would be an major contributor to the Eagles. Wurtz is quick, aggressive, athletic, and disruptive defensively. She shoots quickly and actively goes after offensive rebounds. She should generate a lot of the ugly points her team will need.
#51 Alaina Eck Alaina Eck 5'4" | PG Little River | 2024 State KS , 5’2″, PG, Little River, KS Dream Team – Another player I saw a great deal of this summer, Eck really reminded me of a very young, rough version of the great, 5’2″, Australian guard Debbie “The Pest” Black (now assistant head coach at University of Tennessee – Chattanooga) who I used to watch run the point for the Colorado Xplosion of the American Basketball League (ABL). She can get ahead of herself or out of control on both ends of the floor as a handler and defending the ball. But, she can finish around and under the basket with athleticism. Already averaging 8 points, 3.7 steals, 2.3 assists …and 3 turnovers, as her mindfulness of her passing and regulation of her motor improves Eck will be a major contributor to the Redskins.
