Prep Girls Hoops recently saw North Myrtle Beach HS defeat the Hartsville HS Lady Red Foxes 39-28 to start region play off at the Reservation in North Myrtle Beach. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="171736" first="Daveona" last="Hatchell"]</strong> <strong>(2021)</strong> <strong>- North Myrtle Beach HS (pictured on front) </strong> Hatchell is tough to defend at times down in the paint. Hatchell plays her best basketball closer to the basket. Hatchell really plays the game well on contact. Hatchell is one of the top seniors in the region this coming season after having a productive summer with the Confidence ?Cougars on the Grassroots Circuit. Hatchell finished with 11 points in the win over the Lady Red Foxes. Vincent plays better off the ball and seems to be shot ready to receive the ball. Vincent does need time and space for her shot. Vereen just a 8th grader played some minutes on the varsity level last year. Vereen plays the game very aggressive for her young age down in the paint. Benjamin has a quick shot release and good rotation on her shot. Knox logged a lot of minutes after sitting out the first quarter tonight. Knox was able to connect on a few floaters around the lane this evening. The Lady Red Foxes will need to rebound the ball better down the road. Hartsville HS has some shooters out on the perimeter that will help them stay in games this season.
