Selina Monestime Selina Monestime 5'11" | SG Framingham | 2023 State New E – Sophomore – Framingham High School – Shooting Guard
2019-2020 Stand-Out Games:
22 points, 12 rebounds vs. Newton North High School
22 points, 9 rebounds, 5 three-pointers vs. Milton High School
16 points, 19 rebounds, 5 assists vs. Brookline High School
The combo guard, Monestime, had a tremendous debut varsity season for the Framingham Flyers. She showcased her ability to create shots for herself, using a crafty stepback dribble move. This helped generate enough space between her and the defender to get off three-point attempts. A player who is not afraid to battle underneath for rebounds either, as she was a double-double threat on a nightly basis. After collecting a rebound, Monestime always ignites the fast break and pushes the tempo to catch the defense off balance and get her teammates an easy layup. If someone is not open, Monestime uses her athleticism and quickness to weave around defenders and finish at the rim herself.
Maddy Genser – Sophomore – Newton South High School – Point Guard
2019-2020 Stand-Out Games:
21 points, 6 rebounds, 4 assists, 5 steals vs. New Bedford High School
24 points, 5 three-pointers, 6 steals vs. Weston High School
16 points, 7 rebounds, 6 steals vs Wayland High School
Maddy Genser is a lights-out shooter, with grade A form on her jump shot. An athlete with the ultimate green light and ready to shoot from anywhere beyond the three-point arc. Genser plays smothering on-ball defense and is exceptional at pickpocketing ball handlers which leads to easy points in transition for Newton South. Genser has a tight handle and can put the ball on the floor and create offense for herself that way, too. She is one of the most versatile scorers in the Dual County League and is a nightmare to guard.
Madi Forman Madi Forman 6'2" | PF Natick | 2023 State New E – Sophomore – Natick High School – Power Forward/Center
2019-2020 Stand-Out Games:
7 points, 22 rebounds vs. Weymouth High School
9 points, 9 rebounds, 1 three-pointer vs. Holy Name Central Catholic/St. Mary’s High School
7 points, 8 rebounds, 5 steals vs Brookline High School
Forman is an absolute force on defense and a fantastic rim protector for Natick. An athletic forward who uses great timing and shot-blocking instincts to reject and alter opposing shot attempts. Her most impressive defensive attribute is her help-side defense. If one of the wing players gets beat by the opposing offense, Forman is always in the right position to shift over and contest lay-ups at the rim. Not a player who looks for her shot on offense, but is comfortable shooting open jump shots. As her offensive game continues to improve, you can expect Forman to be a double-digit scorer, but her bread and butter is defense and rebounding.
Anna Foley Anna Foley 6'3" | PF Andover | 2023 State New E – Sophomore – Andover High School – Combo Forward
2019-2020 Stand-Out Games:
15 points vs. Woburn Memorial High School
6 points, 6 rebounds, 3 blocks vs. St. Mary’s-Lynn High School
10 points, 1 block, 4 steals vs. Methuen High School
Foley is a skilled stretch forward who has a sound post game and can also extend her shooting range beyond the three-point line. She needs limited space releasing jump shots as she has shown confidence and efficiency shooting the basketball while being contested. Foley displays terrific court vision at her position and is capable of putting the ball on the floor, penetrating the lane and passing out to open shooters or teammates slashing to the hoop. Showcases high basketball I.Q. on offense, especially when it comes to running the floor in transition, as she always rim runs to get inside position for easy lay-ups. On defense, Andover goes to a full-court zone press/trap, and Foley is vital in that defensive set because she can use her length to intercept passes and force turnovers.
