Karlie Romer, 5-10 2022, Kettering Alter
Karlie showed me a lot of smart play when I saw her last week. She is a very good all around player including a hard nosed and aggressive defensive player. She does a lot of good things locking down her opponent, and she has good athleticism which allows her to defend multiple positions. She will continue to improve.
Caitlin Gilliand, 5-7 2021, New Paris National Trail
As she continues to progress through the season, I look for Caitlin to gain some consistency. She struggled at times with that in the game I saw her play against Arcanum, but did show glimpses of good hard-nosed defense in the paint. She is not tall, but uses her body to help in the perimeter. She can put her body on her opponent.
Lexee Brewer Lexee Brewer 5'5" | PG Sidney | 2023 OH , 5-7 2023, Sidney
Very solid point guard who not only can score, but she is extremely talented on the defense side of the ball. She can lock you down on defense, as she is a physical guard able to create problems. Her complete game is coming along nicely as she is not only a big part of the defense, she can score and distribute also.
Addie Lloyd Addie Lloyd 5'6" | CG Franklin | 2023 OH , 5-6 2023, Franklin
Points are not what Addie is worried about, it is more about denying points for her opponent. Her quickness and harassing style of play causes problems for opposing guards. She moves well on defense with active hands. She can turn a defensive stop into momentum for her team. She does have the ability to score on the drive, but for now, it is about lockdown defense for the sophomore.
Grace Schill Grace Schill 5'9" | SF Akron Hoban | 2022 State OH , 5-7 2022, Akron Hoban
Hoban is a very talented team and while it may be tough to make a name for yourself, Grace is doing that with her aggressive defense. In the uptempo style of play, Grace has shown the ability to guard multiple positions on the perimeter and around the rim. She is a physical player and can play in their style of fast paced action.
