Here is the version 3 of the Film Room sessions. Thanks to all of those that have sent in film for me to evaluate. Trinity Wade is a 5'8 Guard from Shelbyville and Indiana Elite Havoc. It is fun to watch Trinity because she plays a different game than many high schools girls. The easiest comparison is that it is like watching a boy play. Trinity will get herself airborne and not always know the next move. She will hang in the air and create some shot with spin on it to get it on the rim. She can hit the mid range jumpers and floaters with regularity and she has range behind the 3-point line. Trinity simply is a scorer that smaller colleges should take a look at because it will translate to the next level. Mia Harris is a 5'8 2022 Guard from Okaw Valley and Indiana Elite Havoc. Mia is a long athlete that does best when playing in the open court up and down type of game. She can use her dribble to change directions quickly or find the right lane to the rim when leading the break. Mia uses a jump stop better than many similar players to get the mid range jumper off. It is a nice weapon for her. She can hit the jumper outside the 3-point line and has a good feel for reading defenders to make a decision to pass or shoot. [player_tooltip player_id="124895" first="Jillian" last="Hamilton"] is a 5'11 2022 Forward from Pana and Indiana Elite Havoc. Jillian is a player that has been on my radar for the past year and I have seen play more than others, so her film provided  reinforcement to what I have already known. She is raw and explosive with plenty of speed and jumping ability. Jillian has shown a reliable jumper from 15 feet and out beyond the 3-point line and is improving her game off the dribble. On defense she uses her speed and jumping ability to be a top shelf defender in the full court game. In the half court because of her unique height/strength and athletic ability she can defend multiple positions. Jillian could easily be an effective stretch 4 at the D2 level but also has even higher upside as she works on her perimeter skills. [player_tooltip player_id="160136" first="Kendra" last="Young"] is a 6'0 2023 Forward from Paris and Indiana Elite Havoc. Kendra has long been a player that is known for her ability to shoot the ball, especially from behind the 3-point line. Anytime she can get her feet set and shoot in rhythm Kendra will convert at a very high rate. She has played a significant amount of basketball and has been coached well so Kendra is a fundamentally sound player. Her long term might be as a small college stretch 4. She boxes out well and can rebound and her abilities away from the basket would open the paint for a true low post player. To play in college most players need to find their niche and perfect it so Kendra should continue to focus on working on her shot and build even more confidence in it. [player_tooltip player_id="159965" first="Madyson" last="Rigdon"] is a 5'8 Guard from Paris and Indiana Elite Havoc. Madyson is first and foremost an excellent defender. She can take the best player from the other team and hound them all night long. She is tough and long which translates well on the defensive end. When she runs to the other end of the floor she will fill the lane and go full speed which translates to easy baskets in transistion. She does a good job of finishing with either hand in the lane and does a good job of getting there off the dribble in the half cour. She should be coveted by D2/High Level NAIA/D3 schools looking for a tough defender that can also shoot it. Madyson is a team player that can find her role and adapt to whatever he team needs. [player_tooltip player_id="124876" first="Payton" last="Jacob"] is a 5'11 2022 Forward from St. Joe Ogden and Indiana Elite Havoc. Payton is a very good fit as a small college stretch 4. At 5'11 she is strong and tough under the basket defensively and rebounding, but is also well suited to play on the perimeter. Payton can put the ball on the floor and hit the outside shot with consistency. Defensively Payton does a good job of team defense where she will help on penetration but is also very good at recovering to her player and getting steals off weaker passes. Payton is another smart player that has been well coached. She is in the right spots and makes smart plays. [player_tooltip player_id="124864" first="Laila" last="Barakat"] is a 5'6 2022 Point Guard from Stagg and Chicago Hoops Express. Laila is a point guard that can score. She has excellent handles and very good court vision. That court vision nicely translates into creativity and flare as she finds ways to get the ball to her scorers in the right spots. When the opportunities present themselves Laila is a capable scorer that has a nice shooting stroke from deep range. Once she puts the ball on the floor I really like the way she uses her eyes to influence the defender and then take advantage of their mistakes. Laila continues to be an under the radar option for colleges needing a 2022 point guard. Elynn Peterson is a 5'3 2022 Guard from Brimfield and the Heart of Illinois. Elynn has a well rounded offensive game and has obviously been taught the game by good coaches. I really like the way she moves to open spots as the ball enters the paint so her teammates can find her for shots. She is not stationary. This forces the defenders to close out hard to cover her from behind the line which leads to good chances to attack off the bounce. Elynn has a nice runner/floater that she can use from mid range and also has a nice pull up jumper. In the open floor she runs well and can beat many players down the floor in transition where she can finish with either hand. Elynn has the potential to a nice small college player. Ella Boyer is a 5'5 2023 Guard from Tuscola. Ella is a very good athlete that also excels at softball. She has a strong lower body that really helps her stay strong in defense and also deal with pressure and contact on offense. Ella had a record setting freshman campaign for the Tuscola varsity despite missing the last 8 games with an injury. Currently she is best guarding on the ball and hitting the catch and shoot 3-pointer. She shows promise in handling the ball and getting to the rim where she finds way to get her shot off despite only being 5'5. Jada Davis is a 5'8 2022 Wing from Peoria Richwoods and Illinois Valley Warriors. Jada is a strong and athletic player that does a good job on defense. She can move side to side to limit penetration while also using good anticipation to get her hands on passes. Offensively Jada sees the floor well and is a willing passer to the open player. She has a nice shot that can hit consistently in the mid range and will step out and hit the3-pointer if the opportunity presents itself.
