Trenna Cherney Trenna Cherney 5'10" | SF Reedsburg | 2022 State WI | Reedsburg | 5’10 Junior
Cherney is a dynamic player who can really make an impact at both the post and guard position. She’s quick enough to move and handle the ball on the perimeter but is really raising her stock as a post player. Her strength and footwork in the lane are promising and can help her put up big numbers for Reedsburg. She’s also shown glimpses of her effectiveness on the glass as well. She can rebound on both ends and does well sealing the defender to grab offensive boards. She’s been a scoring threat so far this season. In a win against Tomah, Cherney finished with 18 points for her team.
Paige Yagodinski | Beaver Dam | 5’11 Senior
The senior has been impressive so far this season and has really developed her skills as a post presence. She’s been an impact two-way player and it’s exciting to see. She uses her height well to finish strong and high over defenders. She is averaging nearly 8 points per game. In a win against Watertown, Yagodinski finished with 12 points. She’s also become more consistent on the perimeter and does not shy away from taking the open shot.
Jadynn Gruner | Baraboo | 6’0 Freshman
Gruner has stepped up and shown how quickly her stock is rising! A team of primarily guards, Baraboo will look for Gruner to play some key minutes in the paint. She is averaging a light 6 points per game and will certainly see that number rise as the season progresses- she’s just starting to get a feel for playing at the varsity level. However, Gruner is confident on the floor and has high energy on both ends. She’s shown glimpses of being able to guard multiple positions on the floor.
Olivia Paukner | Sauk Prairie | 5’11 Junior
Paukner has become one of the key scorers on this team and has added many crafty post moves to her bag. The way she moves without the ball is impressive- she sets hard and effective screens that in turn get her open attacking the rim. She’s a strong transition asset to this team as well- she can get up and down the court effectively. She is averaging 6 points per game and scored 9 points against a tough Reedsburg squad.
Taylor Marquart | Fort Atkinson | 5’10 Junior
Marquart is extremely athletic and versatile on the floor. She’s comfortable at the guard position and has proven she can attack and handle the ball effectively. However her stock continues to rise as she’s shown some dominant play inside the lane. She is very crafty with a powerful play style. She is clearly a mature player that is expanding her range, scoring selections and ability each year she plays. Marquart has a soft touch near the rim but is extremely strong finishing against a taller defender. She has become a great dump off option for her teammates as well- adding some easy extra buckets for the junior standout.
