Jessica Riepe, Marlboro: Riepe led New Jersey with 97 triples last season. In 28 games of action, she was good for a 3-pointer in essentially every game. Once she got in a rhythm she was incredibly dangerous from beyond the arc. Riepe can create her own shot and she has good form on her release. She hit seven 3-pointers in two different games – wins over Freehold Borough and South Brunswick. Riepe added six triples in a win over Middletown South and five apiece in wins over Manalapan, Rumson-Fair Haven, Donovan Catholic and Jackson Memorial. There was a correlation between Riepe’s shooting and the team’s success, and that will likely follow in the 2021 season.
Kelly Andreasen, Pascack Valley: Andreasen will be one of the top perimeter shooters returning after a junior season that saw 84 3-pointers. She is a player who can also go for five 3-pointers or more on any given night. She finished with eight triples apiece in Pascack Valley wins over Holy Angels and Dwight-Morrow.
Saniah Caldwell Saniah Caldwell 5'8" | PG Saddle River Day | 2022 State #52 Nation NJ , Saddle River Day: Caldwell was a top sophomore for state power Saddle River Day. She knocked down 81 3-pointers last season, good for sixth in the state. In addition to her stellar play on the defensive end, Caldwell certainly knew how to put the ball in the basket. She hit six 3-pointers apiece in wins over East Orange, Lincoln, Morristown-Beard and Montclair Immaculate. Caldwell averaged 20.6 points per game last season.
Maura Carney, Jackson Liberty: Carney knocked down 79 3-pointers last season as a junior at Jackson Liberty. She had 24 double-figure games. She is comfortable hitting stepback 3s or stepping into her shot. Carney is extremely efficient at the corner long-range attempt. An Adelphi commit, Carney was efficient on the defensive end as well.
Kennedy Jardine, Hun School: Jardine hit 71 3-pointers for Hun last season. She averaged 17.2 points per game and hit at least one shot from deep in every game over the course of the season. She had a season-high six 3-pointers in a game against George (Pa.) last December.
