New Faces from Week 3
Olivia Clarkson, 5-10 2021, Oak Hill
She has some solid moments in their game vs Coal Grove last weekend, and has a good all around game. It was my first time to see her, and I was impressed how well she played both inside and outside. Olivia can step out and shoot the three, moves well without the ball, and can create her shot inside. She showed good experience and leadership.
Abbey Hicks, 5-6 2022, Coal Grove
Coal Grove had three kids who impressed me in their game I saw last week, one of them is this guard who showcased herself well with the basketball. She showed poise and solid court skills, with good court vision and a high motor. She has good range from out beyond the arc, can hit the boards and looks to be a solid leader.
Kylie Kinder, 5-8 2021, Indian Creek
This guard stuck out to me quickly with her fierce competitiveness and her desire to make the play for her team. She has a very good perimeter game with deep range out behind the three. She also can step into the midrange. Great court awareness, excellent shot off the dribble, quick shot and able to draw the defender and get by her. Good on-ball defender.
Aly Ray, 5-8 2021, Toledo Notre Dame
The game wasn’t very competitive, but Ray sure was. Loves her high energy game. She is someone who can use her athleticism to get by her defender to the rim and finish. puts the ball on the floor well and can create a great shot for not only herself, but her teammates. Good three-point shooter, plays on a very solid team who should make a nice run this season.
Abby Stammen, 5-7 2021, Versailles
I was especially interested in watching this team, to see who steps up after the loss of a big senior class. I liked what I saw from several of the Tigers, and this senior was one of them. She does a good job on the boards and is an aggressive player who can play through contact. Abby has good hands and can push the tempo north-south well in transition. Moves well and gets open. Showed a lot of good senior leadership.
