She’s an all around fantastic athlete with a great upside for the future. Very comfortable with the basketball, excellent handles, has a great feel for the game, and makes wise choices while in transition or setting up the offense. She plays aggressive on the defensive end, can create 5 second calls- she never stops moving, and goes 100%, all game!
Syncere Royster: 5’9, F, 2023, Newark- As a coach, I constantly stress the importance of each player knowing their role on the team. On an extremely loaded Newark team, Syncere took advantage of the time she was on the court, providing solid rebounds, and playing hard defense in the paint. She plays physical, and has no problem banging up post players! She’s willing to do anything to help her teammates. I love her heart, and is definitely a player who will continue to develop and grow.
Kyli Horn: 5’6, G, 2021, Hiland- (Featured Photo, In black jersey) Kyli is a fiesty guard, who is skilled in handling the ball, and is a shooter! She is very strong at the charity stripe, shooting 9/10 on Saturday. She doesn’t force shots, is comfortable shooting anywhere on the court, with mid-range jumpers and 3’s, and can be a force in the lane. Loves a fast pace game, and defensively she uses her quickness to sit low, and puts pressure on the ball. She will do great things for Malone University!
Taylor Bigby: 6’0, G, 2021, Centennial (NV)- This young lady and future Oregon Duck, is a gifted athlete, who can play just about anywhere on the court! Very impressed with her defense, love her deny and help side defense, and how she elevates in crashing the boards. High basketball IQ, and makes big plays look easy. Bigby’s long, athletic body makes her very difficult to stop, especially when penetrating to the basket. Strong handles, and no issues taking the rock coast to coast. She’s going to be fantastic at the next level with Coach Kelly Graves!
Addison Melone: 5’2, G, 2021, Centennial (NV)- Melone, a quick guard with crafty handles and strong motor, was leading scorer on Saturday with 14. She’s very active, is comfortable shooting behind the arc and mid-range with a quick release. Fast in transition with the ball, and sees the court well in distributing the ball to teammates. Plays with a high tempo on both ends of the floor, and tough defender!
