Grace Schmidt Grace Schmidt 6'0" | PF Watertown Luther Prep | 2022 State WI | Watertown Luther Prep | 6’1 F | Junior
Schmidt has the ultimate blend of size and skill at the highschool level. She has a natural feel for the game and is dominant around the basket. She has a plethora of post moves and scores the basketball with ease in the half court. She may be the best rim runner in all high school basketball and is always on attack mode. She is averaging 27 points per game during her junior season. In a game against Winnebago Lutheran, Schmidt scored 37 points for her team. She is a great passer and can be used in multiple ways within the offense.
She has a high IQ and alway seems to make the right plays for her team. She has put in a lot of work stretching her shooting range beyond 15 feet and has worked to expand and knock down from deep. She continues to get more comfortable putting the ball on the floor and has shown glimpses of what may come with continued improvement of ball handling and being used further out on the perimeter. In a game against Lakeside Lutheran, Schmidt scored 32 points.
Nicole Norton | Southern Door | 5’9 G | Senior
Norton is most deadly with the basketball in her hands. Her ball handling skills are so far advanced that it is virtually impossible to rattle her with pressure. She can put it on the floor with either hand and she has the height to rise over smaller guards with her pull up jumper. She is averaging 25.5 points per game this season. She is very crafty around the basket, and can finish in multiple areas of the floor. Her best attribute is her ability to score the basketball. She is lightning quick with an even quicker first step that makes it effortless to blow past defenders. She gets in the lane and she knows what plays to make. In a game against Green Bay New Lutheran, Norton scored 34 points for Southern Door. She has put in work improving her range as well and has been super consistent this season. In a win over Sturgeon Bay, Norton scored 32 points.
Raegan Sorensen | Unity | 5’7 G | Senior
Sorensen is a talented blend of instincts, skill and toughness. She handles the ball well, she can create off the bounce, she has solid timing on her passes and she sees the floor well. Her size as a lead guard gives her an advantage most nights but her advanced skill is what sets her apart as she’s shown a consistent ability to score from all three levels. She can score through traffic, knock down the mid- range pull up, and she’s solid off the dribble or in a catch and shoot capacity beyond the arc. She’s not just an offensive talent either as Sorensen has shown solid tough defensive ability on and off the ball and she’s a quality rebounder for a guard.
She is averaging 23 points per game. Sorensen scored 45 points in a win over Cameron. She also scored 40 points in a win over Phillips.
Autumn Earney | Ellsworth | 5’8 G | Senior
Earney is a fluid perimeter talent with an ability to score from multiple levels. She handles the ball well, she sees the floor well, she can score off the bounce, she has a solid pull-up off the dribble, she can knock down the three point basket and she has the ability to attack the rim and finish through contact. In transition she sees the floor well and she has an ultra-quick burst that allows her to push the tempo and get downhill with success.
This season the senior is averaging nearly 23 points per game. She has a clear desire to win on the floor and the ability to fill the box score with steals, rebounds, etc. In a win over Amery, Earney scored 34 points for Ellsworth. In another win over Chippewa Falls, Earney scored 35 points. She is the programs leading scorer.
Lily Krahn Lily Krahn 5'10" | CG Prairie Du Chien | 2022 State WI | Prairie du Chien | 5’10 G | Junior
Krahn is a versatile guard that is able to get a lot done on the floor. She is able to get into the paint often with a good combination of quickness and strength. The junior is also a tough defender with good length who can match up with both guards and forwards out on the perimeter. She has above athleticism and uses it to get to the basket with ease. She has a quick first step and can finish at the rim with contact. She has a nice range on her shot and is steadily improving her shot to consistently be a threat from beyond the three-point arc. Additionally, she is a skilled passer who also rebounds well for her size.
This season she is averaging 22 points per game. In a game against Shullsburg, Krahn scored 28 points for her team. She also scored 27 points in a win over Platteville.
