Below is a list of players scoring high numbers this season in Division 4.
Jada Eggebrecht | Phillips | 5’8 G | Junior
Eggebrecht is leading the division in scoring this season. She’s a dynamic guard who can score from anywhere on the floor, effortlessly. She’s a high tempo guard that has enough athleticism to play the entire game for this Phillips team. She is averaging 24 points per game. In a win over Prentice, the junior scored a season-high 38 points. In another win over Auburndale she scored 30 points and shot 70% from the floor. She’s helped lead her team to a winning season this season- only one loss against Unity so far.
Raemalee Smith | Ladysmith | 5’6 G | Sophomore
Second in scoring this season is Smith who is averaging nearly 24 points per game. Smith has been a key leader for this team and taken on a very large role in helping her team get some wins this season. She’s been able to effectively get involved in the offense by finding crafty finish moves and using her handles to fly by defenders in transition play. In a loss against a talented Phillips team, Smith scored a season-high 30 points. In a win against Spooner, Smith scored 29 points.
Lindsay Steien Lindsay Steien 5'9" | CG Blair- Taylor | 2023 State WI | Blair-Taylor | 5’9 PG | Sophomore
Steien is a phenomenal prospect who has been giving impressive performances since she stepped onto the court as a freshman. She has a scoring mentality and great decision making skills when attacking the rim. She doesn’t force much and is terrific at getting her teammates involved. By having such good court vision the sophomore is able to find her teammates open and in turn, move without the ball until she is open again. It’s very impressive. Steien is averaging 23 points per game this season. In a win over Independence she scored a season-high 32 points. She has scored 28 points on four different occasions this season. She’s made over 20 three point shots this season.
Lalani Ellis Lalani Ellis 5'7" | PG Milwaukee Academy of Science | 2023 State WI | Milwaukee Academy of Science | 5’7 PG | Sophomore
Ellis has only competed in four games so far this season but has put on a show each time and deserves recognition. She is averaging 20 points per game in her first performances. In a game over St. Mary Catholic, Ellis dropped 41 points in the win. In another game against Nicolet, Ellis scored 15 points for her team. Ellis attacks the basket strong and can finish against contact. She’s a gritty player who seems highly competitive with a very mature feel for the game. Ellis is receiving a lot of early attention from Division 1 coaches.
Braylee Hyatt | Cashton | 5’8 G | Sophomore
The Cashton guard is a three level scorer with extremely high energy and versatility on the floor. She’s been able to successfully score in the midrange for her team this season. She will pull up for a jumper before attacking which has been difficult to guard for some. She has effective handles to be able to attack the rim and finish against taller defenders as well. Hyatt is averaging nearly 20 points per game. In a win over La Farge, the sophomore scored a season-high 35 points. In a tough loss against Sparta, Hyatt scored 29 points.
Makenna Guden | Edgar | 5’7 PG | Senior
The UW Superior commit is averaging 19.8 points per game. She’s been super consistent this season and been putting up impact numbers for her team. She’s a playmaking guard that gets her teammates involved. She has a nice feel for the game and it is clear that she has leadership qualities to help this team to a successful season. Guden is an impressive defender as well and see’s multiple steals when she is on the floor. In a win over Marathon, Guden scored a season-high 28 points for her team. In another win over Lourdes Academy, the Edgar standout scored 27 points.
Laney Havlovitz Laney Havlovitz 5'5" | PG Wild Rose | 2023 State WI | Wild Rose | 5’6 PG | Sophomore
The WIld Rose sophomore is smooth and plays with poise and great understanding for the game. She’s an exciting guard to watch as she’s so young but has shown so much potential to take over for this team. She’s a lead guard with the ability to create off the dribble and knock down the shot off the pass. The Wild Rose sophomore is averaging nearly 19 points per game. In a win over Port Edwards, Havlovitz scored a season-high 29 points for her team. In another win against Pittsville the point guard scored 27 points and shot 60% from the floor. She’s made over 20 three point baskets this season.
Gabby Klas | Ozaukee | 5’10 G | Junior
The junior is a three level scorer with total potential for the next level. She has incredible positional length- combined with her speed and ability to handle the ball, Klas is all around impressive. She is averaging 18.6 points per game. In a win over Sheboygan Lutheran, Klas scored a season-high 32 points. In another win against Hilbert she scored 31 points. She’s made over 40 three point baskets this season. She also shouldn’t be taken lightly as a defender- she uses her size well to be able to defend at multiple levels of the floor. Having Klas in the lane or using her length on the perimeter of a zone is very intimidating to other teams.
Makenna Rohrscheib | Regis | 5’9 G | Junior
The Regis standout has a deep bag of skills that she uses offensively to score the basketball. She is fundamentally very developed and doesn’t force anything. She simply knows what to do when she is on the floor and sticks to it. She doesn’t force anything but still finds ways to fill the stats sheet. The guard is averaging 18 points per game. In a game against Fall Creek, the Regis standout scored a season-high 30 points. In a win against Augusta, Rohrscheib finished with 27 points for her team.
