Cotie McMahon Cotie McMahon 5'11" | SG Centerville | 2022 #28 Nation OH , 5-11, Centerville
Confirmed what everyone already knows….this kid can do everything on the court. Very good handles and can push the ball in transition north-south and score at the rim. Very good with either hand, strong and physical. Great range, can score from anywhere behind the arc or score at the rim on any defender. Very high motor and when she is ready to take over a game, there isn’t much anyone can do about it.
Mackenzie Gloff, 5-11, Eastern Brown
Really showed some solid play in her game on Saturday, which was the first time I had seen her., Mackenzie came off the bench, but she established herself as one of the top players in the Journey to the Tourney. She is a strong rebounder with good hands who can establish herself around the rim and score. She is a great compliment to a sophomore you will read about later this week.
Chance Gray Chance Gray 5'9" | PG Winton Woods | 2022 State #40 Nation OH , 5-9, Lakota West
Very impressed and lived up to all the hype as soon as she hit the floor on Saturday. She plays at a high level of travel basketball with Sports City U and showcased her skills with a variety of offensive chances. She showed she can score from the perimeter, and she has the ability to explode to the rim and score. Defensively she creates opportunities for her team, can lead the break in transition and finish with either hand.
Abby Wolterman Abby Wolterman 6'1" | SF Cincinnati Mount Notre Dame | 2022 State OH , 6-1, Mount Notre Dame
Often underappreciated due to the number of weapons that have at MND, but Abby (pictured right) really caught my eye with her ability to move without the ball and create chances for her team. Long and athletic, she can run the floor well and is a smooth playmaker on the court. Her stock continues to rise, and is one of the juniors in Ohio who should be able to capitalize on a big summer next season.
KK Bransford KK Bransford 5'11" | PG Mount Notre Dame | 2022 State #6 Nation OH , 5-11, Mount Notre Dame
While Abby has opened the eyes of scouts and experts with her play, KK continues to dominate both ends of the floor every night out. She is one of the most explosive players in the country, will make plays happen and pretty much do what she wants on the court. Athletically quick and productive around the basket, or from the perimeter. Very active hands and able to push north-south. Unstoppable.
Courtney Dean, 5-6, Oak Hills
This point guard is a solid playmaker for her team, and one of her biggest attributes is her ability to make good decisions on the floor. She has a good midrange game or can step out to the three and fire away. Loved the way she showcased her game with slashing to the rim. At 5-6, she plays bigger than she is.
Kendall Wilson, 5-8, Cincinnati Princeton
With their top offensive player out, everyone has to see their production increase and Kendall left no doubt of her work ethic. She has tremendous intensity who will play hard and play through contact, showing a knack of getting past her defender and scoring at the rim.
Alexia Mobely, 6-2, Reynoldsburg
The Louisville commit is long and athletic with good handles. She has the ability to take control of the inside/out game. Alexia runs the floor well in transition and has multiple tools to take her game to the next level. Very versatile player.
Grace Van Slooten, 6-2, Toledo Notre Dame
She is part of a team who looks to make a run to Dayton and the state final four. She runs the floor so effortless for a post player, can contribute in a variety of ways. She is a handful to defend by anyone, anywhere inside 10’ she is dominant in the paint. Grace has great footwork and able to create for herself or her team. She is a strong force defensively, blocking or altering shots.
Amara Flores, 5-5, Lakota West
I was impressed with her grittiness and determination to just do what it took for her team to win. She was solid in the transition game and when she gets to the rim she scored with either hand. Excellent handles, able to control the tempo of the game. Can shoot the midrange, and can move north-south in transition.
