<span style="font-size: 18pt;"><b>Standout Performances in the </b></span><span style="font-size: 18pt;"><b>Woodland East Conference <img class="size-medium wp-image-179376 alignright" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2020/06/Generic-Featured-Image-4-300x187.jpg" alt="League Preview" width="300" height="187" /></b></span>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">In the latest standings this week, Greenfield and South Milwaukee tie at the top of the conference with a 5-1 record. Milwaukee Lutheran and Whitnall each have a 1-2 record, while Shorewood Cudahy and Brown Deer have not won a game yet this season. However the talent is high and the competition is there as well. Each one of these teams have had impressive performances with players having breakout games as of late. </span>

<span style="font-weight: 400;">Leading the conference in scoring this week is 5’10 forward, </span><b><i>[player_tooltip player_id="156072" first="Allison" last="Hampel"].</i></b><span style="font-weight: 400;"> The sophomore is averaging 16 points per game for Greenfield. In her highest scoring game of the season, Hampel scored 22 points against Franklin. She also leads the conference rebounding. Greenfield is stacked with talent and she works very well with the guards on her team. Her point guard, 5’5 sophomore </span><b><i>[player_tooltip player_id="156070" first="Amayiah" last="Neilon"] </i></b><span style="font-weight: 400;">is second in scoring with nearly 16 points per game. Greenfield coach has a deep bench and is able to bring in almost anyone on the bench to make an impact in the game. </span><b><i>Jilian Landgraft,</i></b><span style="font-weight: 400;"> a 5’9 sophomore guard, has seen some bigtime minutes this season and does a fantastic job finding her shot within an offense. She’s able to play composed and smart while still being active and moving quickly. In an impressive performance against Shorewood, Landgraft finished with 14 points. Each player brings a high level of energy and talent on the floor. The team is up tempo- they love to get up and down the court and have a fast paced offense. We’ve seen some dominant post play from sophomore 6’0 center, </span><b><i>Sophie Gruber. </i></b><span style="font-weight: 400;">She has tremendous positional height and ability to be a key shot blocker and intimidation factor in the lane. She’s been strong on the boards and a secret weapon for this squad. In a win over South Milwaukee, Gruber scored a season-high 15 points for Greenfield. </span>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">South Milwaukee has proven to have impressive players as well. </span><b><i>[player_tooltip player_id="204136" first="Mia" last="Johnson"]</i></b><span style="font-weight: 400;">, a 5’7 junior combo guard, is the standout player who is averaging 15 points per game. She does it all for this team- she has strength inside the lane to go up against taller defenders and can knock it down with consistency from the three point line. She works well alongside</span><b><i> [player_tooltip player_id="382394" first="Caitlin" last="Behling"],</i></b><span style="font-weight: 400;"> a 5’10 junior who is averaging 10 points per game. She had a breakout performance against Brown Deer early in season play- she finished with 23 points and shot 65% from the floor. Another 5’10 junior who has been a huge contribution this season for South Milwaukee is </span><b><i>[player_tooltip player_id="263002" first="Allie" last="Spaltholz"].</i></b><span style="font-weight: 400;"> She’s advanced her game on so many levels and has proven to be a consistent three level scorer. She is averaging 9 points per game this season. Her ability to score in the midrange is going to translate very well at the next level. </span><b><i>Isabella Campos</i></b><span style="font-weight: 400;">, a 5’5 senior point guard,</span> <span style="font-weight: 400;">has been a floor general and spark plug for South Milwaukee so far. She’s a defensive threat with quick and precise footwork. Her ability to cause turnovers and deflect passes is impressive. She is averaging 3.2 steals per matchup. We’ve seen a lot of success this season in the lane from 6’0 junior post player, </span><b><i>[player_tooltip player_id="204124" first="Hailey" last="Johnson"].</i></b><span style="font-weight: 400;"> She is averaging nearly 9 points per game and is a terrific slasher in the lane and offensive rebounder. </span>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">Take a look at some standout numbers from other prospects in the rest of the conference. </span>

<span style="font-weight: 400;">She is averaging 4.2 points per game. In a win over Franklin, Certain finished with 11 points. She attacks the lane well but will hit the three point shot if left open. She has a fantastic feel for the game- she moves effortlessly without the ball but can handle it as a lead guard if her team needs her. A key defender for Greenfield as well. Certain grabbed 3 steals in her most recent win over Shorewood. </span>
<b>McKenzie Hausch | Whitnall | 5’4 Junior</b>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">The junior has a great ability to attack and finish in the mid range. She makes smart shot selections, doesn’t force much and knows when to take the shot. Her timing is great- rarely getting a blocked or altered shot. She’s a defensive standout as well, she’s scrappy and can play high pressure defense coast to coast. </span>

<span style="font-weight: 400;">The forward is versatile and can play inside and out. She’s comfortable handling the ball and moving within the offense as a wing type player. However she’s lethal on the block as she is one of the tallest players in this conference. She keeps here hands heigh and is extremely impressive in transition play. She’s been improving her balance and ability to block shots as well. Reisma is averaging 12 points per game and scored 18 points in a loss against Greendale. </span>
<b>Grace Mattice | Cudahy | 5’6 Senior</b>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">Mattice is averaging 7.3 points per game. In a game against Milwaukee Lutheran, Mattice finished with 13 points. She’s a sniper from behind the arc. Her confidence is high- look for her to hit some big shots this season. She’s patient with a quick release. She finished with 3 made perimeter shots against Milwaukee Lutheran. </span>

<span style="font-weight: 400;">The sophomore has made major improvement and has been an impact player for Greenfield. She excels on both ends and is very competitive on the floor- she gets after loose balls and is exceptional attacking in transition. She’s been impressive passing into her post players and finding her teammates open this season. </span>
<b>[player_tooltip player_id="264953" first="Arianna" last="Smith"] | Shorewood | 5’8 Sophomore</b>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">The sophomore has a high upside for this team and has been the go-to offensive player. She’s strong in the lane and does well creating contact and finishing through it or drawing the foul. She can hit the mid range shot as well. In a loss against Greenfield, Smith finished with 21 points. </span>

<span style="font-weight: 400;">The UW Parkside commit has a scorers mentality and incredible instincts on the offensive end. Last season she led her team in scoring and proved she can knock it down from anywhere on the floor. In her game against Greenfield she finished with 20 points per game. </span>
<b>Paige Lathrop | South Milwaukee | 5’9 Junior </b>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">The junior is a key wing player that can knock down the mid range shot with consistency. She utilizes her length so well and will be essential to this team’s success down the stretch. She is averaging 7.3 points per game this season. In a win over Whitnall, Lathrop finished with 14 points. </span>
<b>Jamera Bean | Milwaukee Lutheran | 5’3 Senior <img class=" wp-image-210083 alignright" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2020/10/JAMERA-BEAN-131-scaled-e1602106557441-300x268.jpg" alt="" width="203" height="181" /></b>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">The senior is definitely the breakout player in this conference. She’s shown so much improvement and been able to really advance her game offensively. She’s crafty and dynamic- her ability to finish inside the lane is impressive. In her game against Greenfield, Bean finished with 12 points. </span>
<b>Jenna Tierney | South Milwaukee | 5’9 Sophomore</b>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">Been a spark plug this team and has shown glimpses of how impactful she can be on the offensive end. A three point specialist, in her most recent game against Martin Luther, Tierney made 3 three point shots. She finished that same game with a season-high 18 points. </span>
<b>[player_tooltip player_id="380677" first="Brooklyn" last="Anderson"] | Shorewood | 5’7 Sophomore</b>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">Anderson is a scorer with impressive athleticism and a feel for the game. She moves well with the ball and has taken on a floor general role for this team. In her most recent game against Greenfield she finished with 20 points. </span>
<b>Sarah Hansen | Cudahy | 5’4 Senior</b>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">The senior has once against been the go-to option for this Cudahy squad. She’s a quick and athletic guard with footwork and IQ to match. She’s put up impact numbers so far this season and will be essential to watch as the season progresses. In a loss against Milwaukee Lutheran, Hansen finished with 20 points. </span>
