2022 5-7 F A’ryn Jackson A’ryn Jackson 5'8" | SF Sequoyah | 2022 State GA – Sequoyah
A’ryn Jackson A’ryn Jackson 5'8" | SF Sequoyah | 2022 State GA won’t be denied. The undersized tough-nosed post did it again, battling her way to 8 points, 10 rebounds and 4 steals. She’s an invaluable part to Sequoyah’s success. She’s quicker than lumbering bigs, able to get off the floor for rebounds or chase down loose balls before opponents know what hit them. Jackson uses her quickness to her advantage on offense as well, able to stretch the floor and beat her man off the dribble when opportunities present themselves.
2023 5-11 PF Karmen Frazier – Druid Hills
Sophomore Karmen Frazier is not yet a finished product, but she has some intriguing skills for her size and age. Frazier has stretch-four capabilities. She isn’t afraid to step outside and shoot the open three and is able to hit from the mid-range. She posted 7 points and 8 rebounds vs. Sequoyah and caused a few issues with offensive put-backs.
2022 6-1 PF Keona Curtis Keona Curtis 6'1" | PF Grovetown | 2022 State GA – Grovetown
Keona Curtis Keona Curtis 6'1" | PF Grovetown | 2022 State GA showcased her soft touch, scoring around the rim and extending her damage to the three-point line. Curtis is active inside and is quick to the ball. She had a few nice passes from the interior, able to spot open teammates. Curtis was able to impact the game against a smaller front line and made good things happen when she touched the ball. Keona finished with 16 points, 12 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals.
2024 6-1 C Lindsey Pirkle – West Forsyth
While she didn’t record a robust box score, make no mistake Lindsey Pirkle provided important play inside as the Wolverines pulled away from Spalding for a 55-34 victory. Pirkle used her size to alter shots inside and clean up misses. Finishing with 2 points, 5 rebounds and 1 block, Pirkle helped clog the lane and hold Elicia Threatt in check.
2021 5-11 F Elicia Threatt – Spalding
With 6 points, 8 rebounds and 3 blocks, Threatt was impactful early on, prompting West Forsyth to make changes to slow her down. Elicia can cause issues with her quickness at the high post. She likes to drive with her right hand and draw contact at the rim. Her ability to anchor the paint defensively is key for an undersized guard-heavy team. Threatt has an interesting set of skills that small college coaches may want to keep tabs on.
