My daughter was in the 7th grade playing 17U, she took some bumps early then she left the bruises but this ain’t for everyone if you are not dominating your age, this more than likely won’t make you better yet what do I know, other than these young ladies played up and did some damage, here’s the first segment
Marvinisha Norman (Power)
Norman is a 2027 yet poised, confident and goes hard on both ends and with her physique, attacking the rim and finishing strongly after contact isn’t a problem yet she can handle the ball in the open court and hit the jumper but her versatility trickles over to the defensive end, yes she can be a stopper in the paint as well as outside of it and she rebounds
Rieyan Desouze (Lady Jets Adidas 2026)
Desouze was in the 3rd grade the first time I saw her and right then I saw something clicking just observing her mannerisms. She has always been poised and under control, started out showing she could run a team and since the game starts at the one, she will be one of the top point guards in her class, drop the mic on that as she shows her wizardry handling the ball and making hard passes look routine, her acrobatic finishes and that jumper….
Kyah Prestridge (Lady Jets Adidas 2026)
Prestridge crossed state line and showed why I tagged her #D1Lock a couple of seasons ago after that initial sighting. She’s strong and powerful, creates her shot with ease, her mid to long range is a huge tool yet she can take defenders off the dribble with either hand and finish with either hand. Big guards that can shoot are highly sought after for the next level, when you add her defense and rebounding, there’s no telling how high her ceiling will be
CeMaria Kelly (Waco United)
Kelly left me somewhat mesmerized with her athleticism and speed with the ball. One of her teammates tweeted her first love was track, I see that yet I also see she can definitely play at the next level because she understands how to score,,she finishes acrobatically and has a nice stop and pop jumper in transition but she can also create her shot and that explosiveness is light years ahead of her age
Morgan Davis (Pro Skills 2026)
Davis is another player that sold me, maybe the 2nd grade when she was just so knowledgeable about what was happening and she was carrying her team even then. Now she has added some things you just can’t teach and one of those is she thinks the game and understands when to get others involved and when Tom flip the switch and take over. Her mid to long range game is scary, yet don’t be afraid just yet because she’s going to shock even more
Jackie Silva (Pro Skills 2026)
Silva brings it off the top, she’s a gamer and watching her handle the ball and slicing by defenders just tickles me because she plays with passion and energy yet her efforts do not go unnoticed. She can make pinpoint passes going full speed, she sees the floor in the half court set and she’s vocal. She also attacks the rim and finishes, she creates the mid to long range and she’s going to create some problems
