Kelly fell into my “silent assassin” group years ago, whether on her club or school team, because she did the little things that turn out to be big. Well, she still does, but when you factor in her being “THE GLUE” who also understands how to keep things together on both ends, that’s impressive. Her jumper with a hand in her face, her big steals or defensive stops all started runs for her squad

Kelly is proving to be an X factor for her squad and the glue because you can’t teach what she does. She’s smooth off the dribble, she can accelerate in the open court or use the sleight HEZ in the set to get to the basket yet her acrobatic finishes are sweet. She plays the passing lane and does a good job defending baseline to baseline, her quick hands pickpockets yet her “stop and pop” jumper had me going

Kelly is in a unique situation as her high school team is coming off of back-to-back state championships and after watching her play a few weeks ago, at the TJ Showcase, she made me GAMECHANGERS Tip Sheet as her poise under pressure simply blew me away and I called her the UNSUNG hero on both her high school and club teams and here’s why. She’s a long and athletic guard who can defend, rebound, and play the passing lane. Over her career, she has gotten hers in the flow offensively yet that jumper is looking good, mid to long-range, and so are her acrobatic finishes as well as court vision

Kelly is the UNGSUNG hero both on her high school team, which has won back-to-back state championships, and on her club team because she does the little things that might go unnoticed to help change the momentum. One of those things is diving for loose balls on the floor or breaking up plays. She understands how to force the offensive player into traps as well as pick up their dribble yet she plays the passing lane well, has solid court vision and scores both off the dribble as well as from outside

Kelly had me open the vault to when I saw her in middle school and her improvement over the past couple of seasons has not gone overlooked. Recently, I talked about her team at the Sandra Meadows Classic and I mentioned something very important many will never comprehend and that was she understands how to get hers “in the flow”. She is a key component on whatever team she plays on and does so many things that may not show up on a score or stat sheet however watching her be more offensive minded and draining the 3, wait, stop the presses. Here’s what I said on my initial sighting , nothing like using the search bar
