2021 and 2022 4A Guards with Standout Performances

She uses that dominance on offense, too, to get position and score including using spin moves and up and unders to get the basket. She can shoot behind the arc as well showing her versatility on the court. She came right out and kept shooting to start the second half adding more and more points to her stat sheet. She showed a quick release and confidence in her shot making sure her opponents knew that she was not going away. Her hands were causing problems on defense most of the night against South Mecklenburg. She did not shy away from contact when driving, and she had a nice midrange jump shot that helped add up some of her points. Aliyah Terry | Olympic | G | 2021 Terry was a force on defense staying right on her opponent. When pressing, she essentially shut down her opponent’s best guard making sure she didn’t get the ball to bring up the court. She does a great job timing her crossovers to get by her opponents. She also uses pump fakes to move around her defenders. Her quick release makes it nearly impossible to close out on her when she gets the pass. She finished with 18 points in a game against Charlotte Country Day. She did a great job running the floor, finding the gaps, and being ready to show off her shot. She does a great job seeing the floor and making quick passes inside at the perfect time to let her teammates score. She follows shots grabbing rebounds, too. She finished with 10 points in a game against Olympic.
