2023 is a class that is loaded with talent from top to bottom as these past few months we were treated to a plethora of players from this class that were able to showcase their skills in a variety of tournaments. 28.5 certainly set up the stage for such endeavors as the league showcased several teams from the Beaver State and allowed individuals and teams to put their skills on the big stage. [player_tooltip player_id="158567" first="Lainey" last="Spear"] was perhaps the biggest stockriser of them all as the lanky forward has the skills and size to play a numerous amount of roles out on the floor. [player_tooltip player_id="158559" first="Malaya" last="LeSueur"] has been a significant guard as of late as she was able to show her elusive handle on the ball along with her playmaking abilities. [player_tooltip player_id="211126" first="Morgan" last="Miller"] is a fundamental guard whose confidence caught up with her abilities whereas [player_tooltip player_id="251696" first="Hanne" last="Hopkins"] is a tremendous guard with upside through her scoring ability and ability to change pace. [player_tooltip player_id="158567" first="Lainey" last="Spear"] 2023 6’2" PF Clutch Rose/Beaverton HS - the versatile forward who combines length with skill was a two-way threat for Clutch Rose on both ends of the floor. She is a match-up nightmare as she has the size to play down-low but also the skills to play alongside the perimeter. Spear already has the tools and is adding layers to her game which is bad news for her opponents down the road.
[player_tooltip player_id="158559" first="Malaya" last="LeSueur"] 2023 5’9" SG FBC Northwest/Benson Tech - the slick guard from Benson Tech has had a productive last few months going to showcases outside of the State to prove her game and she has caused a buzz. She is an adept ball-handler who has a string on the ball and has a nifty mid-range game. Athletic and stringy defender who plays with a solid effort on both ends of the floor.
[player_tooltip player_id="211126" first="Morgan" last="Miller"] 2023 5’5" PG NW Stars White/Lincoln HS - Morgan was a poignant piece of NW Stars White who now has the confidence and poise on both offense and defense. She can sink daggers from alongside the perimeter and never forces the issue and knows when to let it go. An aggressive defender who pesters her opposition and forces them into mistakes. Showed quite a bit of growth for her team.

She plays with a certain edge and competitive that is hard to come by. Defensively engaged, Hopkins will keep improving as she already has a gamer’s mentality.
[player_tooltip player_id="158545" first="Rhyan" last="Mogel"] 2023 5’10" SG NW Stars Navy/Clackamas HS - although Rhyan had already solidified a top five spot in the 2023 rankings last time around, the Clackamas native kept upping her game and with an added persistence showed that she is still steadily improving.
