Eight teams — No. 9 West Salem, No. 1 Tualatin, No. 5 Sherwood, No. 4 South Medford, No. 11 Oregon City, No. 3 Benson, No. 10 Nelson, and No. 2 West Linn — punched their tickets to the Chiles Center on Saturday night. After two playoff games, here are eight players who led their teams to earn a spot in the 6A state tournament, plus a bonus player who deserves an honorable mention at the top:

Although Southridge was eliminated in the Round of 16, [player_tooltip player_id='832605' first='Sara' last='Mangan'] led all scorers by more than double digits with a combined 56 points in two playoff games. In her last game, the senior set Oregon's all-time record for most three-pointers scored (362) in a high school career. Mangan netted a game-high 31 points in Southridge's round two loss against Nelson on Saturday. The 2x Metro League player of the year can create from anywhere on the court and has the quickest shot release in the state. Mangan will continue her basketball career at the University of Portland.

Junior [player_tooltip player_id='832046' first='Love' last='Forde'] threw down two double-doubles in back-to-back playoff wins, including 18 points and 10 rebounds against No. 7 Southridge on Saturday night, to lead No. 10 Nelson to its first-ever state tournament. The power forward, named to the Mt. Hood Conference First Team, is efficient to the rim on the bounce and has a soft touch inside and out. The Hawks will battle No. 2 West Linn for the top matchup in the state quarterfinals on Thursday.

San Diego State-commit [player_tooltip player_id='828956' first='Mayen' last='Akpan'] combined for 44 points in two playoff wins for South Medford. Akpan is a force inside and on the glass — she holds Oregon's state tournament record for offensive rebounds. The power forward led the Panthers with a double-double (20 points and 13 rebounds) against Mountainside in the Round of 16.
Reigning state champion [player_tooltip player_id='1013738' first='Love' last='Lei Best'] combined for 28 points and 12 steals in two playoff wins for No. 1 Tualatin. The sophomore is a sneaky defender, like Notre Dame's Hannah Hidalgo. Regarded by many as the top point guard in the state, Best consistently finds ways to lead Tualatin to victory in big games. The Timberwolves will meet No. 9 West Salem in the quarterfinals on Thursday. With teammate [player_tooltip player_id='502344' first='Alex' last='Padilla'] out due to injury, some are skeptical of Tualatin's chances in a potential semifinal matchup against South Medford on Friday.

Colorado School of Mines-commit [player_tooltip player_id='1223907' first='Tenley' last='Bozeman'] is having a stellar senior season for Sherwood. Bozeman is the program's all-time leading shot blocker. She can finish around the rim, rebound, and step outside to knock down threes. The forward dominated in matchups inside against Century and McMinnville, helping Sherwood go undefeated in league play and secure the Pacific Conference league title. Bozeman was named to the First Team All-Conference (I am surprised she was not named Pacific Conference Player of the Year). The senior leader combined for 23 points in two playoff games and led the Bowmen with 12 points, 12 rebounds, 4 steals, and 4 blocks against No. 12 Sheldon in a Round of 16 win.
