She’s a powerful presence inside the paint, and I love how hard she works to get position on the block! What stood out to me the most, besides her boxing out, rebounding, ability to shoot outside, and solid footwork on the block, was how she communicated to her teammates. She’s always helping, talking, anything she can do to give her team the advantage. She’s a leader! (Featured Photo, in gray)
Bella Heaton- 5’7, PG, 2023, Hilliard Darby: (Below with ball) Bella is a quick guard, who plays with confidence and composure. She has strong mid-range jumpers from any area of the court! Strong handles, doesn’t get rattled by tough defense. Her quickness and speed allow for good transition and half court vision to make entry passes inside or dish off to the other guards. She has a bright future!
Sierra Schlosser- 5’10, PF/SF, 2022, Bishop Ready: Love her hustle, that is consistent all game! She’s an unselfish player, who finds her teammates. Makes solid moves to the lane, under control, and very strong moves on the block- she’s money all day! Great hands, has a nice baseline shot/midrange. Knows how to get to the charity stripe. Has a great feel for kicking the ball out when double teamed. And she moves so well without the ball! Schlosser’s a talented player!
Cassidy Lafler- 6’0, F, 2022, Dublin Coffman: (In white jersey below) Cassidy has really turned it on strong this last month, playing with so much fire! She’s very strong, elevates on rebounds, and she goes all out on both ends of the floor. Lafler can hit the outside shots from behind the arc, and follows her shot well! She makes her opponents work for everything- tough defender and plays very physical. No question, a genuine slasher and can get buckets in no time!
Giselle Johnson- 5’10, G, 2021, Andrews Osborne Academy: I really like Johnson’s style of play- she has great hands, and knows where to be on the court. She adjusts herself to be in great position to shoot. Cuts well to the basket, plays strong, and can clean the boards. Her length is an asset in helping her steal the pass, and finishing with lay-ups.
