The games have begun! With the infusion of livestreaming, it feels like I’ve watched a thousand games in just 2 days. I’ll focus our Mid Week Prospect Watch on 2 games in particular - Our Lady of the Lakes vs. Plymouth Christian and Clarkston vs. Troy.
Let’s take a look at some players that stood out in those 2 games.

Plymouth Christian 61, Our Lady of the Lakes 53

[player_tooltip player_id="252876" first="Ariela" last="Boboc"] (2021, F/C, Plymouth Christian)
She was the anchor in the paint that helps the star studded backcourt. Boboc had 5 points, 9 rebounds, and 3 blocks in the game. She was active on the offensive glass and was used as a screener very often.
[player_tooltip player_id="147782" first="Anna" last="Fernandez"] (2022, G, Plymouth Christian)
The guards ruled the day in this game. Fernandez had 17 points in the contest. She was comfortable handling the ball and pushing the pace. Fernandez never hesitated when given an open look behind the arc. She could also take the ball to the rim and finish for 2.
[player_tooltip player_id="190186" first="Morganne" last="Houk"] (2023, G, Plymouth Christian)
Houk was flat out dominant. She torched the nets for 33 points. Houk was terrific from 3 point range. She also pushed the ball down the floor, beat the defense back, and picked up high percentage buckets at the rim. Houk was equally as strong defensively, constantly in the face of the ball handler.
Alexis Koenig (2021, G/F, Our Lady of the Lakes)
Koenig is a player that I’d like to see more of. She looked like a pretty slick athlete that found her spot on the court. She may be able to attack even more when she gets fed the ball on the block.
[player_tooltip player_id="28042" first="Brooklyn" last="Robak"] (2021, G, Our Lady of the Lakes)
Robak is really a terrific prospect. She had some really nice passes that were easy to handle for her teammates. Robak was most obviously a leader and a calming force for her squad. She had a very pure looking stroke on her jumper.
[player_tooltip player_id="147751" first="Quinn" last="Robak"] (2023, Our Lady of the Lakes)
I was really impressed with Robak. She had 2 first half catch and shoot triples that looked smooth and steady. Then she started attacking the rim and finishing. Robak ended up scoring at all 3 levels, adding a nice mid range jumper into the mix.

Clarkston 66, Troy 49

[player_tooltip player_id="147783" first="Izzy" last="Hadley"] (2022, G, Clarkston)
If she plays every night like she did last night, Hadley will drive opponents crazy. She was so scrappy on both ends, showing a lot of grit and hustle. Hadley had 10 points and 5 steals.
[player_tooltip player_id="147767" first="Madison" last="Skorupski"] (2022, G, Clarkston)
Where do I start? She had a double-double on the night, scoring 24 points and grabbing 16 rebounds. Skorupski handled the ball like a lead guard and attacked the glass like a power forward. She accurately hit cutters with a skipping bounce pass. She created off the dribble and even picked up second chance buckets.
[player_tooltip player_id="138357" first="Olivia" last="Toderan"] (2021, G, Clarkston)
Toderan had 18 points on the night. She showed off her 3 point range early with a corner triple. Toderan consistently found seams in the defense and attacked them, even without the ball in her hands. She looked excellent delivering the ball to her teammates with post entry passes and hitting cutters on their way to the rim.
Sarah Christensen (2021, F, Troy)
Christensen showed up to play. She was strong and aggressive on the glass. She really made herself have an impact last night.
[player_tooltip player_id="138370" first="Lauren" last="Gumma"] (2021, G, Troy)
I really like the way Gumma plays at the point. She moves the ball quickly and it doesn’t stick in her hands which forces the defense to react. I’d even like to see the ball make it’s way back to her deeper into possessions.
[player_tooltip player_id="147734" first="Kendal" last="Zeiter"] (2022, F, Troy)
Zeiter is an elite forward prospect in Michigan. She had a staggering 29 points while she carried her squad offensively. She’s so versatile offensively, working with her back to the basket on the block and facing up from behind the arc. Zeiter had some really nice passes out of the paint as well.
