Shout-Outs During Tourney Time Part 4

<strong>Abbey Price- G, 2024, North Union  </strong>Price had a strong game against Johnstown, scoring 15 points and grabbing 8 rebounds. It is a huge transition going from playing 8th grade basketball to playing at the high school varsity level. She’s grown a lot as a player this season, and will only get better. Price can rebound the ball well and find the open teammate. Remember her name. <strong>Audrey Benedict- G, 2024, North Union </strong>Benedict is another freshman who has played valuable minutes this season. Lots of potential in this guard as well! She scored 15 points and had 5 rebounds against Johnstown. Averaging 7.5 ppg as a freshman is respectful. Bright future for this guard. <strong>Abigail Adkins- G, 2024, Johnstown-Monroe </strong>This young lady had an outstanding freshman season for the Johnnies, averaging 16.5 ppg! Adkins is a very strong guard, a scoring threat for sure, but without question does not play timid. She’s a leader, who gives up the ball to open teammates, and is going to be a problem for teams in the years to come. Recently scored 21 pts, and had 5 assists. <strong>Cayden Wagner- G,2023, Johnstown-Monroe  </strong>Wagner had a big game against North Union, scoring 12 points- but even more impressive was her grabbing 9 rebounds!  She averaged 8ppg this season, and will no doubt continue to be a big contributor next season. <strong>Kambry Edwards- PG, 2022, Cardington- Lincoln </strong>Edwards is such a quick point guard, has a natural feel for the game- very comfortable handling the basketball, goes through multiple defenders when driving to the basket. Consistent three point shooter, strong basketball IQ- it is shown offensively and defensively. <strong>Mikayla Linkous- PG/SG, 2022, Cardington- Lincoln </strong>Cardington- Lincoln has so many weapons! Linkous is another very tough guard, with a high motor, shows great quickness on transition, and sees the open spots to drive and shoot. Strong outside shooter, and moves so well without the ball. Plays with confidence- really like her game! <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="32592" first="Gabbie" last="King"]- SG/SF, 2021, West Jefferson </strong>This future Depauw University player has had a great season! She recently scored her 1000th point and averaged 14ppg. She’s fun to watch offensively, finds her teammates, and defensively gets after it as well- reads the defense, takes off on transition with her steals. She’s going to have a bright 4 years with Depauw!
