Two marquee matchups took place Friday evening. In a battle of top-15 teams, Trenton Catholic took down Hudson Catholic, 68-45, while St. Rose defeated Rumson-Fair Haven, 71-61, in another top-15 tilt. Let’s take a look at the winners from those two games.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="134644" first="Zoe" last="Brooks"], Trenton Catholic: </strong>Brooks led No. 2 Trenton Catholic with a double-double performance of 27 points and 10 rebounds, also finishing with four assists and three steals. She connected on 10 two-point field goals. It was her first double-double performance of the season as Trenton Catholic moved on to 5-0.
<strong>Aaylah Del Rosario, Trenton Catholic: </strong>Del Rosario recorded her fourth double-double with an 18-point, 12-rebound performance in the 23-point victory over Hudson Catholic. She also had four assists, three blocks and two steals.
<strong>Adiana Pacheco, Hudson Catholic: </strong>Pacheco finished with 19 points and 10 rebounds for Hudson Catholic for a double-double effort in the loss to Trenton Catholic.
<strong>Layla Laws, St. Rose: </strong>Laws totaled 18 points and was one of four St. Rose players to reach double figures. [player_tooltip player_id="134621" first="Abigail" last="Antognoli"] poured in 15 points, Niasya Ervin scored 13 points and Rosie Scognamiglio finished with 12 points.
<strong>Grace Munt, Rumson-Fair Haven: </strong>Munt had a fantastic night for Rumson-Fair Haven in its loss. The senior hit five 3-pointers and finished with a double-double of 22 points and 12 rebounds to go with six assists and five blocks. Cortland McBarron, Charley Rosen and [player_tooltip player_id="134754" first="Julia" last="Corsentino"] all scored in double figures for Rumson. <strong> </strong>
