Fast forward to this freshman class, Mike Flynn (Bluestar) tweeted something like it was easy to rank the players since I was copying BS-30 which was simply BS because most of these players were caught by me before they even played a middle school game and had the #D1Lock attached so social media nonsense is always going to be out there, be careful what you believe and know my views are MY VIEWS based on what I see

Thomas has taken her game to yet another level and watching her dominate on both ends this season is why she’s elevated. Long and athletic, plays the passing lane, great hands, and footwork, and can attack the rim yet that jumper, mid to long -range that she creates while being defended and seeing her steal the ball and drop the stop m and pop in transition left me speechless

Maul was offered by Texas heading into 7th grade, need I say more, well after helping lead her high school squad to the UIL 5A State Championship and being named MVP, that speaks volumes but her poise on the court is one of the things that caught my early, well that and her range which is now past the NBA line but she can create her shot very well and with her length and ability jump, she gets it off whenever she wants

Cortez sort of falls into that “blue-collar” category because “you won’t outwork her’ and seeing her #BATTLE, the hashtag makes it more impressive, against taller players for rebounds on both ends as well as putbacks, yet let me not leave out her diving on the floor and in the stands. She can take defenders off the dribble with either hand and finish with either hand, bot after contact and her midrange and defense is very solid

(Up from No. 60)
Ogbevire moves up 40 spots, she is one of the most explosive guards in the state, not just in her class and if you blink, sorry, she’s gone so in the open court, the vast majority of players guarding her need to get back because she gets to the rim and finishes acrobatically but peep this if you give her too much room, she can drop the long ball. She understands how to run a team, when to push it and when not to, and sees the floor well

Ly is another player I caught before she played her first middle school game and like her state champion teammate, I attached #D1Lock yet the more I saw her, I also added, throw away the key because she can score in droves, mid to long and off the dribble yet while attacking the rim, her blazing passes give her teammates easy opportunities to score

Hendrickson | 2023

(Hendriclkson)
(Up from No. 40)
Carter transferred to Hendrickson and immediately gave them a spark as they went on a rampage after being 0-2 BC before Carter yet her intensity level stays the same on both ends, she’s a nightmare to guard because of that first step as well as the jumper and she’s all pretty to scary to try and score in because she understands how to play on-ball defense, has quick hands and plays the passing lane

Ademywagum is the highest mover upper and guess what else, she moves players out of the way by getting positioning and at times, when she leaves the ground, she just keeps going up, up, and upper, so my play on words is nothing like her play on the court and let me drop #B EAST as she #BATTLES; like they used to in the #THROWBACK era. She’s a double-double waiting to happen, her moves around the
