As Class AA teams get ready for the state tournament, PGH wanted to roll out some key guards to keep an eye on.

[player_tooltip player_id="98769" first="Brooklyn" last="Kusler"], Aberdeen Central. Kusler is the “go-to” for a big bucket. The leading scorer can fill it up quickly.

[player_tooltip player_id="98667" first="Brecli" last="Honner"], Harrisburg. Being a combo guard can open things up, not only for yourself but for your teammates. Honner can affect the game be doing multiple things on the offensive end.

[player_tooltip player_id="98761" first="Jordon" last="Heckert"], Rapid City Central. Heckert will be a handful to guard. She’s capable of scoring quick and often. You can’t fall asleep while guarding her.

[player_tooltip player_id="99732" first="Jayda" last="McNabb"], Rapid City Stevens. McNabb is one of those players that if she’s having a great offensive game, she is really having an amazing defensive game. She effectively turns her superb defensive skill into offensive opportunities.

[player_tooltip player_id="14232" first="Isabelle" last="Moore"], O’Gorman. Moore will bring a multitude of skills. She’ll serve as the point guard, the two guard and will guard some forward. She moves around in the offense, so you’ll never know what position she is playing.

[player_tooltip player_id="98686" first="India" last="Bradfield"], Brandon Valley. Transition is Bradfield lane to glory. If no one stops her at the point of attack, it will be a tough task after she gets downhill.

[player_tooltip player_id="100473" first="Brooklyn" last="Harpe"], Sioux Falls Washington. Harpe can raddle of a series of points in no time. She can get it in the flow of the offense, create on her own and run the floor.

[player_tooltip player_id="98766" first="Abby" last="Kopecky"], Aberdeen Central. Kopecky is another player that will score in bunches. 2 ½ quarters might go by and she may not have a point. By the end of the game she can finish with 14 and 7.

[player_tooltip player_id="178811" first="Carolyn" last="Haar"], Harrisburg. Three-point shooting will be a premium doing the tournament. They’re not too many other players that can shoot better than Haar. She has a fast release and only needs a tiny bit of space to let it fly.

[player_tooltip player_id="98763" first="Brielle" last="Biteler"], Sioux Falls Washington. Speaking of shooter. Bitler has range for days. Three-point line? Try 2-3 feet beyond that. With shooting like that, the Warriors can play around in the paint.
