Sadie is a player that college coaches will immediately be interested in the second she steps on the floor. She is a true 6'3 and towers over nearly every player in the state. She is very long and is a terrific rim protector. She runs well up the floor in transition and is good laterally as well in the half-court. She missed quite a few games this season due to injury, but was effective in the games she was able to play in. Hopefully she is able to come back strong this offseason and show out next season. She could be a force for the Sabers in 26-27.

Maddock is the quarterback of the Benson County Wildcats. She has helped lead them to two incredibly successful seasons. They fell just short of repeating as State Champions but still finished the season with a 24-3 record, a third place finish, and a 15-game win streak to start the year. Kaitlyn is a terrific ball-handler and very hard to turnover. This is a testament to her strength as a guard and her obvious work in the weight room. She is a good scorer and passer, good decision maker, and tough defensively. She would thrive at the NAIA or Junior College level.

Lesko is a multi-year All-Region selection and helped lead LaMoure/Litchville/Marion to the Class B State Championship in 2026. The Loboes upset Benson county with a runaway score of 57-29. The confidence from beating such a talented team in the semifinals helped them continue their stellar play against Central McLean in the title game, winning 64-49. Onika is as impressive of an athlete as there is in Class B. She is so physically strong and explosive. She is very difficult to keep away from the basket. Her strength allows her to defend bigger girls and bully guards getting to the rim. Lesko has college potential written all over her game.

Wehrman is an All-Region talent and a leader on a Divide County squad that only graduates 2 seniors. She has taken her leadership role seriously and done a fantastic job the last two years. Skylar is an impressive athlete on the court. She has a quick first step and is really good at attacking the basket and getting to the free-throw line. She is good at playing off of two feet which can eliminate turning the ball over. She has a great 'next-play' mentality on the rare occasion when she does turn the ball over. Divide County will make some noise next year because of Skylar's great play.

Abby has been one of the few steady points for a Mavericks program that has been in a rebuild mode the last few seasons. She once again found herself on the All-WDA team this season. The 5'6 guard has garnered a few local school's interest and would be a great local pickup for Dickinson State. She plays really hard and has a great attitude on the court. She is widely known for her outside shooting. Her percentage would be even better if she had a little more relief on the offensive side of the floor. She is a steady and capable ball-handler. I think Dickinson is poised for a breakout season next year with Abby leading the way.

Fargo North has a lot of pieces returning next season that will set them up for one of their better seasons in recent memory. Paityn will be one of those main pieces returning. She was selected to the All-EDC team this season after producing consistently all year. She is a very strong guard and has begun to learn how to use that strength to overpower opponents going to the rim. She is light on her feet and can be creative at finishing at the basket. She finished the year averaging 12.7 points, 5.7 rebounds, 2.5 assists, and 2.7 steals per game.

Bell is a college prospect due to her amazing athletic ability. The two-sport standout athlete will have her choice of playing either basketball or volleyball at the next level. She is very disruptive defensively for her squad. Her long arms, laterally quickness, timing, and jumping ability make her a tremendous defensive player. She is a fast player and can get up the floor in a hurry. She can knock down the middle jump shot against opponent's zone defenses. She has a soft touch near the basket and can draw fouls while getting to the free-throw line. When you see Lauren play it becomes pretty clear why she was an All-Region selection.

Ava unfortunately went down with a season-ending injury and missed Horace's final 13 games. Her absence was felt immediately and was a challenge for the Hawks to overcome. She brings a lot to the floor on both sides. She is a tough and ornery defender. She isn't afraid of anyone and certainly isn't afraid of being physical. She was really missed offensively as well. She was a consistent third scoring option for Horace behind [player_tooltip player_id='555488' first='Lakyn' last='Donnelly'] and [player_tooltip player_id='555487' first='Jordan' last='Christofferson']. Without Larson, Horace was much easier to defend. She stretches the floor with her lights out three-point shooting. She finished the season shooting 36% from deep. I hope Ava is able to heal up this offseason and come back next season stronger than ever.
