Commitments in the class of 2022 have been rolling in slowly in comparison to most years for understandable reasons. Unofficial visits as well as official college visits have been non-existent for this group for the majority of their high school careers and that holds true today. In person scouting has been very limited during the same time frame. All in all, it has been very difficult for players to get a good feel for colleges and it has been just as difficult for colleges to get a feel for players. One talented player out of Washington recently found her fit and that is [player_tooltip player_id="27934" first="Keira" last="Hanson"].
The 5’7 point guard out of Issaquah High School and EBC standout is the ultimate fundamental, hard working player that has earned her way to a scholarship from The University of Vermont. Hanson was an impact player for Issaquah in her sophomore season averaging around 11 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals per game helping Issaquah to a state tournament run. Hanson is known for her handle, shooting and work ethic.
This is the first commitment from any point guard in Washington’s 2022 class. Only one other player that is classified at the PG, SG and CG positions that has announced her commitment is Kelos High School’s [player_tooltip player_id="230592" first="Natalie" last="Fraley"] who is headed to Utah State. The third commit listed in the PGH Washington database is WF West’s wing [player_tooltip player_id="27922" first="Drea" last="Brumfield"] who announced her commitment to Pepperdine not too long ago.
