Rori Harmon Rori Harmon 5'7" | PG Cypress Creek | 2021 State #12 Nation TX -5’7 Cy Creek (Texas)
The shifty handles, the court vision, and the ability to make those around her better all have been evident since I saw her in the 5th grade and said she was a #D1Lock, maybe 4th grade but nevertheless, her ability to score, handle pressure on the offensive helped male her team one of the best in the state during her 4 years, it also helped them make it to the State Championship 3 times and she was named All-Tournament this season
Kierra Sanderlin Kierra Sanderlin 5'8" | PG Judson | 2021 State #89 Nation TX -5’6 Converse Judson (Rutgers)
There have been many players that have been able to put their teams on their backs and show that “will to win” and after helping lead her team to the State Championship year before last, she took them back to the state tournament the following year scoring their last 20 points or something like that but she is a BATTLER, on and off the court and coming back from an injury to perform at her level speaks volumes and so does seeing her excel, sometimes at all 5 positions
Bria McClure Bria McClure 5'6" | PG Steele | 2021 State TX -5’5 Steele (College of Charleston)
Pound for pound, inch for inch, she will leave her mark as being one of the toughest point guards ahem size that could take a game over. She’s a vocal, leader, she pushes her teammates and she makes those around her better by not only controlling the tempo but she’s also an explosive scorer that has made highlights after highlights worthy of Sportscenter yet she’s a perfect example of this hashtag #sizedontmatter because she can definitely play
Raven Adams Raven Adams 5'7" | PG Ridgepoint | 2021 State TX -5’7 Ridgepoint (Texas State)
The poise I saw from her in the 5th grade sold me on what she would be come and by her being able to handle the ball and run a team at a young age, other things would fall into place and they did as she can score off the dribble as well as shoot the mid to long range jumper, an overlooked part of her game is her defense and the pressure she applies on opposing guards creates points going the other way
Jermia Green Jermia Green 5'8" | PG Clear Springs | 2021 State TX -5’8 Clear Springs
Plagued by nagging injuries hasn’t shown her down one bit and watching her just overpower opposing guards, well players, is something to see because she’s strong and has very good body control but her mid to long range is nothing to ignore, nor is her ballhandling and passing which includes a no-look on the money
Autumn Smith Autumn Smith 5'6" | PG Arlington Martin | 2021 State TX -5’6 Arlington Martin (La Tech)
Smith was overly impressive when I caught her at the Spring Creek Barbecue Mansfield Rotary Tournament, that was a lot to swallow, but she did so many things well that I just enjoyed her game. She creates her shot and can catch and shoot it plus rebounds well, but watching her control the tempo and set teammates up for easy baskets in the half-court or pushing it and making pinpoint passes on the break. all were good
Kamari Portalis Kamari Portalis 5'7" | PG Magnolia West | 2021 State TX -5’7 Magnolia West (University of Texas Permian Basin)
Heady point guard that plays within herself and can run multiple systems yet her ability to score cannot be overlooked because her shooting, mid to long range , as well as her breaking defenders down off the dribble to attack or attack and dish but her composure never changed, she handles pressure with ease
Emri Lovell Emri Lovell 5'5" | PG Harker Heights | 2021 State TX -5’5 (Harker Heights) Weber State
Very explosive off the dribble, her first step is very effective and in the open court, her speed with the ball, under control, creates a number of problems. Her stop and pop jumper is nice, she also creates her shot in the half court but she sees the floor well, can run sets but she also is a good defensive players
