<span style="font-weight: 400;">Coach Michelle Peplinski </span>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">Below is an AAU Preview of the 2022 Playmakers- Showcase BSTLL team. </span>
<span style="font-size: 12pt;"><b>#23 – [player_tooltip player_id="132376" first="Jacy" last="Weisbrod"]</b></span>
<span style="font-size: 12pt;"><b>5’11 Combo Guard/Forward from LaCrosse Aquinas High School.</b></span>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">Known for her catch & shoot 3pt shot (State Tournament record for made 3’s in a game & Aquinas </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">school record for most points in a game w/37), Weisbrod has worked hard to expand her scoring </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">threats to rim attacks and pull-up mid-range jump shots. Defensively, she can guard both perimeter & </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">post players, which makes her a very versatile match-up option. Something that might be overlooked </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">amidst her scoring skill set is her ability to create for teammates. Incredible high basketball IQ, solid </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">ball-handling skills, and spot-on passing ability combine to create many opportunities for assists in the </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">half-court and in transition. Mental toughness and goal-oriented work ethic are strengths Weisbrod </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">demonstrates each time she steps on the court; she is a driven competitor and consistently seeks </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">opportunities to push herself to improve. In her first AAU season with Playmakers BSTTL, we </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">anticipate her being a high-impact leader immediately. </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span>
<b>#24 – [player_tooltip player_id="132393" first="Jada" last="Eggebrecht"]</b>
<b>5’8 PG/SG from Phillips, WI. </b>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">Eggebrecht is a dynamic catch & score </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">option for our team. Last season, she spent the majority of her playing time as a distributing point </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">guard, but this summer – with the addition/development of other guards, she will see time as a </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">shooting guard and wing option as well. Incredibly athletic, Eggebrecht has a second gear that </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">matches the intensity and speed of AAU competition well. This season, she will be challenged with </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">guarding top guards/wings from opposing teams and will be the main defender in any full-court </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">pressure defense situations as she covers a lot of court quickly and has a vertical jump that allows </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">her to deflect nearly every pass that comes her way. Eggebrecht’s goals this AAU season are to be </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">more aggressive in the half-court both offensively and defensively.</span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span>
<b>#5 – Natalie Bremer</b>
<b>5’11 W/F from Lake City, MN.</b>
<b> </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">Bremer returns as the top scoring threat </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">from last year’s Playmakers 2022 team, and we anticipate her ability to keep defenders off-balance </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">with her versatility again this season. Length and athleticism make Bremer a hard match-up on both </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">sides of the ball. Whether she is intercepting passes in the full-court or scoring off a transition pass, </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">her style of play appears effortless, yet she consistently impacts the game in a big way. Her skill set is </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">a great match for the college level; she currently holds D2 offers from Mankato & Morehead </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">programs. Consistently listed as a 2022 player to watch for the State of Minnesota, Bremer & Lake </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">City GBB qualified for the MN State Tournament for the first time in 37 years; Bremer & Meincke were </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">key leaders in Lake City reaching that milestone.</span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span>
<b>#20 – Rachel Koenig</b>
<b>6’2 F from Onalaska Luther High School</b>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">Coming off a solid junior </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">season (3-year varsity athlete), Koenig is primed to have a breakout AAU season with our </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">Playmakers program. Koenig has excellent footwork and finishes well from both sides of the rim. She </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">has extended her range this year and recently improved her 3pt scoring consistency. Koenig will have </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">opportunities for post and perimeter development this season, and we look to use her height and </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">length as a shot-blocking option in the lane. Facing up to the basket, she has the ability to attack the </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">rim as well as turn and hit mid-range shots. Koenig currently holds a verbal offer from D2 Bemidji </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">State. This is Koenig’s first AAU season with Playmakers, and we believe an increased role this </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">season will allow her to showcase her skill set well and provide an immediate spark for our team.</span>
<b>#4 – Lilly Meincke</b>
<b>5’11 W/F from Lake City, MN. </b>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">Versatility is the first word that comes to </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">mind with Meincke. She has transitioned from full-time point guard early in her high school career to </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">moving fluidly between point guard, shooting guard, wing, and small forward depending on match-up </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">needs. Playing multiple positions has also led to Meincke’s development as a leader for her teams. </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">She has a high basketball IQ and can see and execute offensive action from defensive reads to </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">create scoring options for herself and her teammates. In Lake City’s tournament run and State </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">appearance this past high school season, Meincke hit big 3pt shots and finished extremely well under </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">pressure at the free throw line. Defensively, she can guard posts and perimeter players as well, which </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">allows her to fit well in a program based on positionless basketball skill sets. One area of noted </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">improvement from our last AAU season is Meincke’s increased presence as a rebounder on both </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">sides of the ball. With her Lake City & Playmakers Teammate, Natalie Bremer, Meincke is a rising </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">prospect in the State of Minnesota.</span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span>
<b>#12 – [player_tooltip player_id="204949" first="Taneea" last="Henderson"]</b>
<b>5’6 PG/SG from Sparta, WI.</b>
<b> </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">After conversations with mid-major D1 </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">and other D2 college programs, Henderson has made a verbal commitment to play at Minnesota </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">State Moorhead University. Lightning quick footspeed and dedicated work ethic have helped </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">Henderson develop into a strong defensive presence and multi-option PG court leader. Dedicating </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">hours in the gym is part of her normal routine; her hard work combined with a growth mindset has </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">allowed her to continue to improve every time she steps on the court. Henderson has proven herself </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">to be a skilled down-hill rim attack scoring threat who can also pull up from 3pt range. Henderson has </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">international playing experience in Guam & is still relatively new to the Wisconsin AAU scene, but </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">made an immediate impact within our program last year; we expect big things from her as the floor </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">general for our 2022 team this year.</span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span>
<b>#10 – Gianna Vollrath</b>
<b>6’0 F from Fall Creek, WI. </b>
<span style="font-weight: 400;">As a multiple State appearance volleyball </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">athlete, Vollrath was a big part in leading Fall Creek’s basketball program to the Wisconsin State </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">Tournament this season. Demonstrating incredible footspeed for a post, Vollrath’s ability to defend </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">and finish against high-profile players from eventual State Champion Mishicot earned her recognition </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">at the state level as a strong 2022 prospect. Although her strength is finishing well at the rim and </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">scoring most of her points in the paint, she has the ability to pull up mid-range shots and is </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">working to expand her range to a more consistent 3pt shot as well. Her commitment to a competitive</span> <span style="font-weight: 400;">mindset is her greatest strength; Vollrath is exploring college athletics opportunities in both volleyball </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">and basketball. Through this AAU season, Vollrath will play at the perimeter as well as in the low </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">post, which will showcase her rapidly developing skill set well.</span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span>
<b>#3 – Natalie Mikrot</b>
<b>5’5 PG/SG from Moose Lake/Willow River High School, MN.</b>
<b> </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">Mikrot is a </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">dynamic scoring threat and one of the purest shooters we have seen in our program. In her high </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">school season, she averaged 25.5ppg with 49%FG (39% 3pt) and has already earned the record for </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">most points scored in a career (male or female) for her high school. Mikrot also finishes well at the </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">line; in her junior season, she shot 83%FT. Mikrot’s goals for this AAU season are to continue to </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">develop as a guard defender who works hard to pressure her opponent in the full and half court.This </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">is Mikrot’s first AAU season with Playmakers BSTTL; she previously played with our Playmakers </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">North 2022 Showcase team. </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span>
<b>#30 – (Unsigned 2021) [player_tooltip player_id="202239" first="Ziy" last="Conner"] <img class="size-medium wp-image-197789 alignright" src="https://prephoops-uploads.s3.amazonaws.com/pgh/uploads/2020/08/Ziy-Conner-300x197.jpg" alt="" width="300" height="197" /></b>
<b>6’1 F from Independence, WI.</b>
<b> </b><span style="font-weight: 400;">Led the state in </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">rebounds per game & top of the state in points per game. Conner’s skill set will showcase well with </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">this 2022 group, as she provides an immediate presence of inside physicality with post finishes and </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">rebounding. Following an incredible senior season with Independence, Conner is looking forward to </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">continued exposure through an extended AAU experience as an unsigned 2021 prospect. Our 2022 </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">Team’s Style of Push Pace Offense & Aggressive Defense will be a perfect compliment to Conner’s </span><span style="font-weight: 400;"> </span><span style="font-weight: 400;">strengths as a versatile, athletic power forward.</span>
