The Storm is here. Based out of Dayton, this 2024 group showed a lot of poise and grit in the tournament last weekend.
Key Players to Watch
Emily Grim, 5-11 2024, Centerville
Formerly a multi sport athlete who is now focused on basketball. Long and versatile and can play multiple positions, Emily can score both at the rim or out on the perimeter and she uses her length to her advantage. She has good upside and in the game I saw over the weekend in Cincinnati, I was very impressed with her ability to produce under pressure.
[player_tooltip player_id="217355" first="Kimberlin" last="Samples"], 5-9 2024, Lebanon
Very aggressive and strong player but is still a raw player with a lot to prove. One of the things she brings to the table is her perimeter presence with a very attacking mindset. Able to create for her team and focus on being a solid leader this summer. Good basketball sense and knows what she has to do for her team.
Brianna Brightwell, 5-9 2024, Miamisburg
She does a great job being a versatile forward who can pull her defenders out and attack the rim. Expect her stock to rise throughout the summer as she continues to develop. Keep an eye on her during next high school season as she heads into her sophomore season.
Laney Cleckner, 5-8 2024, Tippecanoe
One of the future Red Devils, Laney continues to develop her game to prepare herself for what surely will be a bigger role next winter. Love her perimeter game and one thing I would like to see if for her to take more chances with the ball. She is a bigtime shooter who can attack from the three and is developing her midrange game.
Kaitlyn Palomino, 5-5 2024, Centerville
Solid point guard who can control the tempo on the floor, does a good job with her press break and has solid floor speed able to dictate the way the game is played. A future player to watch for Centerville.
[player_tooltip player_id="218277" first="Kahlen" last="Kulms"], 6-0 2024, Preble Shawnee
Huge upside for this post player with huge length and an ability to move around in the paint, has good feet and movement around the rim with good hands. Rising prospect who will be a big factor at the high school level next winter. She will develop her game more this summer with this club.
[player_tooltip player_id="216011" first="Jordyn" last="Smoot"], 5-6 2024, Springfield Catholic Central
Known as a key defender, Jordyn looks to change that narrative this summer and into next winter with more chances to produce offensively with her solid game. Excellent handles, athletic and agile who can score at the rim. Her defense is still stellar with her harrasment of her opposition.
