I was so happy to see [player_tooltip player_id="198606" first="Destiny" last="Smith"]-5’9 SG (Oklahoma Swish 2022 Foreman) land on her feet with her new squad, I’ve seen her do some impressive things in the clutch over the years. Speaking of the clutch, [player_tooltip player_id="265543" first="Jada" last="Celsur"]-5’7 SG (Platinum Basketball 2022 Bruce) made me happy I paid to watch the UIL State Championships and her performance got her added to the Texas Top 100. [player_tooltip player_id="124992" first="AmUnique" last="Cavitt"]-5’7 G (Destiny 2022 Black) was a pleasant surprise as she showed she could score, mid to long-range, take defenders with ease to finish, and also do those things down the stretch so these players were among those who showed me that could get the job done under pressure when it counted, but so did these This closes out the stories, follow me on Twitter for some " after the show was over" stuff that just may pop up at any time @girlzprepreport Marianne Parks-5’3 SG (Oklahoma Chaos 2022) Parks did a good job of not only creating her shot but understanding when to m take and her consistency at not only hitting the big shot but dropping the long ball in each game spoke volumes for the #sizedontmatter player because she can play and showed it on the floor Makenna Walker-5’6 CG (Platinum Basketball 2022 Bates) Walker is a heady guard that plays within herself and does a good job of scoring in the flow however at the drop of a dime, she drops dimes too, she can flip the switch and just score in droves. She understands clock management as well as when to take over, her off the dribble scoring after the lick as well as the mid to long-range has always impressed me but even more so after this event Halyn Carmack-5’4 CG (Shock 2022 Gold) Carmack showed me a whole lot in a short time and I guess the biggest thing would have to be her poise on the court under pressure. She delivered over and over as the clock was winding down, did a good job setting defenders up by creating her mid to long-range but what really got me going was watching her come out of nowhere from the wing to elevate over a 6'0 for a rebound to help seal a victory, I should have that on The Gram, it was AWESOME Tristin Keller-5’8 SG (Platinum Basketball 2022 Bruce) Keller is just an athlete, let me open with her playing cornerback on her high school squad, so she's already going the other way for a touchdown yet she can score, mid to long-range, she's poised, and even more importantly, she gets it as she falls into that "she makes those around here better" because she could drop 20 anytime she wants too yet she picks and chooses and either a basket or an assist, she's something else down the stretch Trinity Dobbs-5’8 CG (Shock 2022 Black) Dobbs has me playing stuff back in my head, yeah I love players who can rebound and go coast to coast under control and finish but she attacks from everywhere, and when you factor in her athleticism, her pressure on defense creates baskets going the other way but peep this, also after that defensive rebound, she can drop the stop and pop going full speed, if it was easy everyone would be doing it and big shots galore were shown [player_tooltip player_id="197960" first="Baylor" last="Franz"]-5’7 SG (Oklahoma Swish 2022 Foreman) Franz is another heady guard that caught my eye years ago when she was in the 6th or 7th grade and just seeing that confidence and desire not to mention a legitimate jumper told me what was coming. I don't cross the state lines that much anymore, hadn't seen her in a few years yet creating her shot under pressure, attacking and finishing after contact, and not only wanting the ball down the stretch but delivering proves once again, I was right
