While Angie Saiter and the PGH staff will be featuring the stock risers, here is Part 1 of what will be a few days of 2022 standouts. Today, a look at some of the top 15 players who rose in the rankings.
Cotie McMahon Cotie McMahon 5'11" | SG Centerville | 2022 #28 Nation OH , 5-11 Centerville
What hasn’t been said about this talented 2022 guard, as the Ohio State recruit continues to showcase her game to those around Ohio. Cotie has a great perimeter game with range out to beyond the arc. Excellent handles and a strong physical player who can play through contact, get to the rim and score. Very impressive demeanor in the paint, can elevate and score and strong on the boards. Looking for a big summer with Sports City U. Moves up from #4 to #3 in the latest rankings update.
Chance Gray Chance Gray 5'9" | PG Winton Woods | 2022 State #40 Nation OH , 5-10 Lakota West
Chance keep getting better and better every time she steps on the court. Excellent poise and she has the ability to score inside or out. Excellent defender, creates for her team and plays fast north-south. Sharpshooter, can put the ball on the floor and penetrate to the rim and finish with either hand. She is a gym rat always in the gym making herself better. Has a very good basketball IQ. Chance moves up to #4 from the #5 spot.
Kyla Oldacre Kyla Oldacre 6'5" | C Mason | 2022 State #42 Nation OH , 6-6 Mason
She showcased her skills in a tournament game last year with a monster performance against Wayne, and she has developed into one of the best centers in her class. She is strong and physical, uses her body well on the boards and is very difficult to defend at the rim. A major D1 prospect with a bright future. Moves up from #9 to #8 in the latest rankings. Macie Taylor Macie Taylor 5'7" | CG Troy | 2022 State OH , 5-8 Troy
Her game has really blossomed and is a more complete player than ever before. I love her ability to create shots for not only herself, but for her team. Outstanding pinpoint passer on the move with incredible court vision. Excellent handles with the ability to push the ball in transition. Can slash and score, or will drop them from behind the arc. Ready for a big summer with West Virginia Thunder. Macie (pictured right) improves from #11 to #10 in the latest rankings.
Hailey Unger Hailey Unger 5'7" | CG Arcanum | 2022 State OH , 5-8 Arcanum
Starting to get the accolades she deserves, as she was Division 3 Player of the Year in SW District and may be the most explosive offensive player in the top 60. Hailey (pictured left) can score in bunches, incredible shot from deep range, can also score from midrange and has good enough handles to create for her team, or get to the rim. Excellent free throw shooter, smart and heady player. Moves up one spot from #12 to #11 in the latest 2022 PGH rankings.
