<strong>Final: Clutch Rose 46, NW Select Black 42</strong>
Last weekend at the EIE Spring Invitational, two Northwest adversaries locked horns as Clutch Rose went up against NW Select Black. With the clubs being based out of the Beaverton and Portland areas, the two squads certainly were familiar with one another’s strategies and individuals as they played an exciting match out in Arizona. The event started with a [player_tooltip player_id="255263" first="Ava" last="Heiden"] to [player_tooltip player_id="158517" first="Halle" last="Hageman"] triple followed by a Naro to Sixta lay-up. A [player_tooltip player_id="158545" first="Rhyan" last="Mogel"] and-one followed on the other end of the floor. Jazzy Davidson found [player_tooltip player_id="255263" first="Ava" last="Heiden"] for a perimeter jumper. Poulvaati scored in the paint followed by a Sixta to [player_tooltip player_id="251706" first="Lucy" last="Allen"] field goal. A Jazzy Davidson and-one followed. [player_tooltip player_id="255263" first="Ava" last="Heiden"] to Hageman triple followed by a [player_tooltip player_id="158567" first="Lainey" last="Spear"] steal coast to coast lay-in. Davidson found [player_tooltip player_id="207819" first="Carly" last="Stone"] for a three followed by a Sixta to [player_tooltip player_id="158515" first="Charlotte" last="Richman"] triple. [player_tooltip player_id="158547" first="Madison" last="Naro"] had a sneaky triple followed by a Sixta triple. [player_tooltip player_id="158564" first="Zoe" last="Borter"] spin move and Spear score made it Clutch Players 28 - NW Select 23 at halftime.
In the second half, Clutch Rose played excellently to their game management skills as they continued to control the pace in a masterful manner. Davidson triple and Davidson and-one oped the half followed by a Heiden to Mogel triple. Borter score followed by a Richman to Spear triple. Borter floater followed by another Davidson triple. Heiden score. [player_tooltip player_id="158515" first="Charlotte" last="Richman"] would give Clutch Rose a much needed boost as she found Spear for two scores. Naro to Borter followed by a Mogel score and Mogel find to Davidson. However, Clutch Rose would find themselves victorious in a narrow margin as they took home this game 46-42.

<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="158547" first="Madison" last="Naro"] 2023 5’8" PG Clutch Rose</strong> - Madison continued to show masterful skills as a floor general who sets the table but is able to get a bucket when her team needs it. Plays at a calm pace with a steady point guard demeanor at all times. The Beaverton guard contributed 5 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 1 steal.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="158567" first="Lainey" last="Spear"] 2023 6’2" PF Clutch Rose</strong> - Spear was a difference maker as a polished forward who is a match-up nightmare with her speed and length. She can defend the perimeter and post and has fluidity to take it coast to coast. She contributed 9 poised, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="158564" first="Zoe" last="Borter"] 2023 6’0" SF Clutch Rose</strong> - Borter gave steady offense in a game where it was difficult to come by as she doesn’t need any plays ran for her as she is intuitive and skilled with the ball in her hands. She had 13 points and 4 rebounds where she showed the ability to grit past and through defends and finish with finesse and/or strength.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="158515" first="Charlotte" last="Richman"] 2022 5’7" SG Clutch Rose</strong> - Richman had a steady hand in the game, particularly late in the matter as she continued to show poise through tough moments. The Tulsa guard contributed 10 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, and 1 steal as she made some late game finds that were key in giving her team the edge in the end.
<strong>NW Select Black </strong>
<strong>Jazzy Davidson 2025 6’1" SF NW Select Black</strong> - Jazzy was difficult for anyone to match-up against on the floor as she had a game high 15 points to go with 3 rebounds, 3 assists, and 3 blocks. She showed extreme skill in this matter as she has the length and ability to score anywhere on the floor but also locks down defensive with her shot blocking timing.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="158545" first="Rhyan" last="Mogel"] 2023 5’11" SG NW Select Black</strong> - Mogel had some tough scores and knocked down a triple, continuing to show her perimeter skills as she chipped in 9 points and 6 rebounds. Another trademark performance where she contributed as a rugged rebounder and defender who plays with exuberance, toughness, and discipline.
<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="158517" first="Halle" last="Hageman"] 2022 5’6" PG NW Select Black</strong> - Hageman has efficient with her scores and dynamic as always as she knocked down triples from deep to keep her team in the game during tough stretches. She contributed 9 points and didn’t hesitate to pick up the pace when it was needed with her exceptional ball pushing intuitiveness.
